Hi Jelly Bean:
I used to get really anxious and really phsyically upset when I'd lover my medication.
But I really did want to quit taking it.
So I got some herbs to help me out. I have sucessfully lowered the dose - quite a bit. I take 5-htp to cut down those anxious feelings.
Also some tablets called Calm u Nat.
This has enabled me to by-pass a lot of the withdrawal that I expected.
I do not have the white coat syndrom. Since I have to go see the doctor every 3 to 4 months with my diabetes.
I hope you get a handle on your anxious feelings. And get to feeling a lot better.
Good luck.
MJ

Jelly Bean,
During my pregnancy with my daughter (who will now be 2 this month) I was on different medications the whole time. She is absolutely 100% just fine!
I got pregnant while on a low dose of Paxil but freaked when I heard it had been linked to problems with the babies, so I quit cold turkey. I ended up on the second to lowest dose of Zoloft and kind of barely squeaked by with the pregnancy. LOL. I laugh about it now because I felt that for me having the lowest dosage of medication in my body was what was best for my baby. I did have an emotionally rough pregnancy. Not terrible, but pretty rough. Especially now looking back.
If I got pregnant again (Which I am NOT planning now... LMBO) I would be faced with similar decisions on what to do with my meds. I am currently on 1.5 mg of Xanax and 30mg of Cymbalta. Neither of which I would want to be on if I got pregnant....
Have you talked to your OB about it yet? Or your MD/Psychiatrist? I would talk to him/her and let them know how you really are feeling. They are there to help you through your pregnancy to make sure you are feeling and functioning your best.
Congratulations on your pregnancy and God Bless!
Carrie
PS. I don't post in here too often so I don't remember how to do this... but there is a way you can read a persons old posts. Clicking on their screen id or something. Anyways, I posted in here a fair amount during my pregnancy back in 2006. You might want to try and read some of my old posts. They might be helpful.

Jelly Bean,
When I was pregnant with my daughter I was on lexapro, I asked my OB is I should stop taking it and she said it would be better if I just kept taking it. My daughter was born just fine. Did you talk to your doctor before you stopped taking the meds. Good Luck with your pregnancy.
