Eating issues
I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I notice that when my anxiety is bothering me I eat way too much. I have this obsessive fear of my blood sugar dropping and passing out or something so I eat. I don't even have diabetes. My blood sugar has dropped before if I went to long without eating and feels much like I do before a panic attack. I think that is how I developed this fear. However, I really do not need to gain any weight. Any suggestions?
I would suggest eating peppermints that way your sugar is ok and you will know that which will keep you from eating so much food. I also eat things like certs or something like that. I feel faint when I haven't eaten enough or have gone along time without eating. I know how that feels. I hope this helps you. Keep me updated! Also your glucose level will effect your anxiety too, it does mine anyways, like not eating a solid meal and eating too much sugar without anything solid.

I struggle with this fear also. And I was told that I don't have hypoglycemia. Anyway, I try to keep a mini candy bar with me at all times.
Anxiety really does affect my blood sugar levels. Sometimes I have a little bit of warning but when I am really stressed it can hit me out of the blue and I have to eat something quick or I will feel "doom" and very weak and very shaky like I will pass out. It's quite scary at times.
My only suggestion - which I'm sure you've heard before is to eat a little bit all through the day. Not great big meals....just eat a little bit every couple of hours or so.
