I went to bed fine last night, but woke up this morning to watch the basketball finals (Congrats USA) and I was depressed for no reason, Its a beautiful morning outside so I decided to take a walk to get a newspaper but that didn't even shift it, I can't even figure out what caused it.

cleron...sorry you woke up today feeling icky. But it happens....sometimes we just dont wake up feeling all that great, dont let that set the tone for the rest of the day.....

People like us that struggle with anxiety/depression tend to be way too critical of ourselves and we have these ridiculous expectations. We have this idea that life should be grand all the time. We should always be happy and content and if we arent then something must seriously be wrong...but that isnt true. Sometimes we are a bit tired or sad or worn out or just melencoly. Its ok to have some down time....just let it pass through you and get busy doing something else and it will go away.

Sometimes the reasons arent clearcut as to why we feel kinda down......but usually its a bunch of things that are weighing us down over time. Maybe lots of stress at work, home, finances, kids, illness, marriage......as these things build up over time we get a little overwhelmed.

I used to let my mornings predict my entire day....NOT GOOD. Now I wake up and if I dont feel the greatest I just keep on going and in a few hours Im feeling better.....keep going is my best advice. Dont dwell on the feelings of sadness or scared. Open the windows go sit on a chair in the sunshine soak up some natural feel good rays. Listen to the noises around you the birds, cars, kids, wind.....and take some deep breaths. Be happy to be alive to experience this gorgeous day your having.

This too shall pass....dont worry about it it will go away that much faster.
