a)What would be your worst Agoraphobic situation to face if someone asked you right now? Either alone or with somebody?
b)What do you think would happen if you were forced to enter and remain in that situation?
c)Why would your answers in part b be so terrible?
Some Agoraphobia questions for you all...
wow good one...i think if someone asked me to drive somewhere far in a car, with them....i would bug out a little....i think if i was alone i would not be embaressed to bug out, but if i was with someone that was not my safety person i would be embaressed to bug out in front of them...maybe i would just explain to them what i have , so they are prepared and then maybe they could help me....if not i would just take a xanax and calm down.... :p
Jason....
Good question but I dont think this is going to help you....sometimes hearing other peoples issues is more harm than good.....as people with agoraphobia and worry we tend to take on the things we hear or learn and I think people listing the problems they have had is not a good idea.
Its much better to say what is bothering you and let people respond in an encouraging way.
Course this is just an opinion but in the true spirit of positive self talk you should be surrounding yourself with the good things people have over come through the program.
Remember the power of suggestion is very powerful dont fall into that trap.

I totally agree with dodger on this. I never understood why people with anxiety and depression would want to ask about fears that other people have, that they don't, knowing that people with these disorders tend to take on symptoms from what they hear from others. I can see if you have certain fears and you wanted to know if anyone else had them.
Just like dodger said, just tell us what's bothering you so that we can help. If you start listening to other's symptoms and fears, you may start developing those fears, unless you've been doing the program and have overcame your anxiety disorder.
