I am so tired! Do you think it is the depression? I feel good and am active - I just can't sleep, so I'm up roaming around, reading, writing in my journal, etc., - it is now 3:06 a.m. and I think just maybe if I lay down I might go to sleep for a couple of hours before my eyes pop open again. I can't worry about this or it would really drive me up a wall...No sleeping aids - they work just the opposite for me and that is really bad! :o Right now I think I am brain dead - Zzzzzzzzzzz's...I hope. Blessings, Judy ^j^

It probably is the depression, because your brain is still active and worrying even if your body is tired. I have totally off the wall sleep patterns, and it's really bad, but I am improving. someone told me once to keep a journal next to the bed to write down the biggest worries so i dont forget them the next day, because I would stay up thinking of them so I wouldnt forget about stuff. Like homework that was due, things i need to buy, errands to run, etc. little things. also, i take a super hot bath right before bed which numbs my body, and relaxes my muscles. sometimes i put a heating pad in bed even if im not cold, as a comfort thing. sometimes reading helps me, but i know that doesnt work for everyone. its all worth a shot, because it affects everything when you dont get enough sleep. try different things, but dont give up! the more you worry about not being able to sleep, the more you add to the thoughts that are keeping you awake.
