Hello!Okay I was doing so good and making great progress but now it's that time of the month and I'm having a rough couple of days! This has been an issue for awhile now when it's the time of the month.I can almost not handle it!Panick attacks come more frequently and mt anxiety is around most of the day. It's like this about a week before and then a couple of days after I start. How am I supposed to control this?I'm 38 years old so I know that It's not menapause.I'm scared to death to go through that if I'm already having this much trouble now!Any suggestions on how I can get through this.I might add that I don't want to have to start taking any kind of hormone medicine.Terrified of it.My nurse says that I'm probably really focusing on when it's time to start my period. She says that I set myself up.Could this be or am I just all messed up?Please any support would be great.Thank you!

I would definitely agree with the nurse's opinion. You're expecting it.
It's not easy now to not expect it, so I would set it up as a practice session each month, as much as you can. It's going to stink, but if you confront it in that way, it may really help! You could grow tremendously each month!
"Ok, this next couple of weeks could be difficult, but I can practice welcoming it and practice knowing that there's NOTHING more to it than just anxiety symptoms. I'll be stronger the more I tell myself this and get through it."

As a fellow anxiety soon-to-be overcomer, I really see this challenge being good for you. Trust me and trust in all you've learned as much as you can. Trust in Truth. You CAN do this and it CAN make you stronger.

All the best.

I don't know if this will help. I just posted a topic 2 days ago simalur to yours. It's in the paricipants post your Questions section. It's the 1st forum as this one but I think it's only for us and not the guest too.

Thank you! You're right.I know that it's all about us controlling the anxiety not letting the anxiety control us.It just seems to be extra hard during this time.Like you said I will start looking at it like growth spurt.Thank you for putting me back in check.I needed it.Take care!

I am 32 and suffered like you do before my periods. I started Lexapro and really dont have any PMS and have no anxiety. It has worked great for this. I tried heral and vitamins before the Lexapro with no luck, so far this is the only thing that has worked for me.
