Does anyone obsess on trying to keep fit.
Food that we put in our mouths?
I've keep doing bodybuilding for over 15 years. all natural, never took any steriods.
Lots of high protein diets.
But I guess I've been cracking the whip harder on myself when it comes to getting muscular results.
My biggest fear is losing weight, when it comes to firming, ( better know as cutting )( my mass also shrinks )
As soon as I lose weight, that when the panic starts..I'm constant on the scale... I know that my weight did not change 10 minutes ago, but there I am again on the scale to reassure that I haven't lost more than I should. Measurng myself, looking in the mirror... this only happens in the cutting phrase. always before the summer.
Then I start thinking about the food I m eating... This comes to mind:, am I putting too much protein in my body, not enought veggies.
Man I go into loops...
One thing that reassures me is when i repeat this thought in my mind... ( Steven.. do you think your children will love you nany less if you lost 2 inches off your biceps.... the answer is always no and that calms me down a little. )
Anyone out there with any advise?
Thanks for listening.

OCD, Steven. Obsessive scary thinking. You've got a tiger inside you that you have been entertaining. It's a false tiger and I call it the ego-thinking mind that loves to keep itself alive at our expense.

A good book for OCD healing is: Freedom from Fear by Dr. Howard Liebgold. I highly recommend it for this. You can heal from this. You don't have to drive yourself crazy anymore. When you begin to work on yourself what you find is that your real fear is the feeling of the anxiety. The adrenalin. Once you understand this doing the work involved to heal becomes a lot easier.

It's a good question and I'm certain you are not alone with this type of fear.

Boom thanks for responding.. I'll pick the book up and give it a read.
My tiger is hungry, it love blood... ha
That why I'm so stuck in this thought pattern.
Thanks again
