I have suffered with extreme vertigo/nausea for over 2 weeks. Can this be anxiety?

I have been plagued with severe Vertigo and have missed over two weeks of work. I would like to know if this can be related to anxiety...thanks for your feed back.

This was my main symptom. Istruggled with it fir at least 15 years, maybe more. It is so disturbing. The more you get a hang of the tools of the program it will get better. It's deffinitely an anxiety symptom. Try not to be afraid of it. I know it's hard but fear fuels it. The more you fear it the worse it gets, just like any anxiety symptom. Do your deep breathing while making sure that you're not tensing up your muscles. The relaxation also helps. You have to talk to yourself to take the fear out of the symptom and it will start getting better. Also cut down on the sugar and caffeine, stimulants makes it worse. Oh yeah, alcohol and the rest too. I forgot about these since I don't drink or smoke.

Thanks for such a quick response...I had started a new job in the retail field as co-manager and I had never done retail management before. I felt I was handling it okay and I am not sure if all the scents in the store (Bath & Body Works)are a contributing factor. I still cannot return to work and that is creating anxiety as well for me...I have the tapes but felt the vertigo was not related...Marijane
