I suffer from General Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and most always when I have a severe panic attack, I will taste a metallic flavor in my mouth. It's the weirdest sensation and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? If so, does anyone know what would cause this?

Well its probably your gums bleeding a little. So when you taste it you already think its a sing of a panic attack coming on. So what your really doing is setting your self up for a attack once you taste that.

The high levels of adrenaline released in your system during panic can cause you to have that metallic taste. You are not alone;)

I often got that taste in my mouth but didn't know what it was and it worried me, I thought maybe it was acid reflux, now I think it was the acid in my stomach that is released during a panic attack???? I didn't know it was due to the adrenalin, always fun to learn something new on this website and put our minds at ease.
