As a newbie I'm wondering if it is a good idea to start the program and the coaching simultaneously or is the coaching recommended for those who are well into it, or finished it, but not seeing the results they want?

Hi,
I am on the 11th week of the coaching program. You have to start the program and the coaching simultaneously. It has been beneficial, but not as beneficial as i thought. you still have to do the work yourself, but it is nice to be able to answer to someone.

I have not had a coach and definitely have seen results just using the program. I am so thankful for it, I feel it has been a God send and don't know where I would be without it. I don't know your particular situation but I was to the point I could barely leave my home and I as 100% better today. I know the coaching is pretty pricey but if you feel you need it, by almeans do so, but I do feel you will get results with just the program also. You do have to commit yourself to this and do all that they say to see the results you really want to see.
I wish you well on your journey to recovery because I know you have come to the right place.
Good Luck to you and if you ever need a friend just send me a private message and we can email back and forth. I will help in anyway I can. Also go to the chat rooms. They are also very helpful and even fun to chat with those that have some of the same issues or have had some of the same problems with anxiety and depression. There are so many wonderful people who have suffered this and are willing to give a helping hand if they can. Once again good luck to you and much peace and happiness in the days to come.

Angla,
I did the program by myself 3 years ago, then decided to do the coaching to finally put an end to this anxiety and more specifically, hypochondriasis. I think it is working in some aspects, but i am still afraid of my body symptoms and so they are lingering. My coach really emphasizes Session 3, and repeats it over adn over, and i seem to need something more. what do you think?

What you say to yourself is probably the most important factor in your healing. Your coach is correct about tape 3 and I would also recommend other material that demonstrates what to say to yourself to soothe and to refute the scare statements you are now telling yourself and "believing" to be true. The scare voice always lies so work on finding that quiet place within you - even if it is just for a split second - so you can hear soothing phrases that comfort you and are more to the truth of what is really going on for you.

A book that may be helpful is called Beyond Negative Thinking by Joseph Martorano, MD and John Kildahl, Phd. See if it's helpful to you.
