Hi all - I'm having a rough weekend...I havent been able to sleep much and can feel that I am totally exhausted...it's causing my anxiety to go through the roof and I am having trouble just relaxing...I have tried to use the slow breathing and it has not been helping much...
I spent time reading, crocheting and trying to distract myself too.
Any suggestions or thoughts are greatly appreciated...I'm just feeling so frustrated

I am sorry to hear that you are having a bad weekend. A lot of the things that I do, you've already said. I always try to crochet when I'm nervous.
If it helps, I also will go so far as to putting on my FAVorite comfy clothes, wrapping up in my FAVorite blanket and putting on some television that catches my attention. THen, just don't think about trying to go to sleep, you will drift off when you are ready.
Try the relaxation CD as well. It does help me at times.
A lot of women on the board also swear by warm milk or tea, a hot bath or shower, and crossword puzzles.
If all else fails, maybe jump on the chat room until you feel comfortable enough to close your eyes.
