I have been experiencing pain in my left shoulder, and it radiates down my arm and into my finger tips. It's almost like a dull numbess, but it hurts. It hurts so bad sometimes I cannot sleep of concentrate. IS this another symptom of anxiety? I have had my heart checked and they say I'm fine. But I just started this arm pain a few days ago. Should I be worried?

Brandy,
If you've had a full physical and your doc said you're OK, then I wouldn't put too much stock in the arm feelings. I've had EKG's, MRI's, stress tests and the works. Each time my doc said I was fine. Granted, I'm not a medical doctor, but given that I've experienced the same thing hundreds of times and lived to tell about it, I think you're OK.

Hi Brandy:
All kinds of pains can be attributed to anxiety-depression. That is very true.
However, there are other things that can cause this kind of pain and numbness in arm and fingers.
I had this very bad once. Come to find out I had an srthritic spur on a vertrae of cervical spine. (neck).
Some surgery took care of that. Mind you, that was quite a few years ago.
It wouldn't hurt to go to a doctor and explain your pain to him/her.
Of course it could be anziety.
But it wouldn't hurt to get this checked out.
Pain in arm doesn't always mean a heart problem.

I agree that alot of pain is caused from anxiety and depression. I was having alot of pain in my hands, feet, legs, arms, neck. After seeing 5 doctors now they tell me that it is fibromialgia, which to me is the same things as being depressed. I did get some excersies to do and they have really helped, ask your doctor about it.
