I haven't had a bad panic attack since feb., meaning wasn't even able to calm my self down without meds. I had my last easy to manage panic attack in march, because I was nervous about getting baptised in front of alot of people, but I did my breathing, and no one even knew I had had one. Anyway, I don't have panic attacks anymore, but I still have body symptoms, and I have been on Lexapro for 4mos, and am on week 13 of the program. The body symptoms aren't as bas as they used to be, but I still hate dealing with them, I still get afraid of them. Does anyone have this problem? Does anyone get a heavy tired feeling, almost like your gonna fall over tiredness? I know I keep asking about the tiredness, but it really scares me, and I need to know.

I know exactly what you are talking about. My panic attacks are gone but the anxiety and body symptoms are there 24/7. The tired feeling you have is one of my big symptoms too! I feel so tired like I could just fall or faint. It comes and goes all day. I think it is just the way our body react after feeling anxious for so long then as we come down we feel that tired feeling or puddling feeling like you could melt to the floor. I hate what anxiety does to us. I hope this helps but you getting past the panic attacks is a big step!!!

Brandi...When I used to be really anxious, I suffered from extreme fatigue. I am certain that fatigue is a symptom of anxiety...

Once you get your anxiety level down, then, you will notice your energy levels returning to normal!!!

Do not allow this symptom to scare you in any way, since, anxiety in itself, is very draining!!!

Just imagine your body producing too much adrenaline all day long...It is kinda like running, while you are standing still...This would drain anyone's energy level!!!

Try to focus on lowering your anxiety level, instead of scaring yourself with thinking you have something wrong with your body!!!

You are healthy and are going to be fine!!! God Bless...
Focus on what you want, not what you fear...

I was just thinking about how your diet and if that is contributing to the tiredness. Do you stay away from caffeine? Do you eat lots of fruits and veggies? Do you try to eat fresh food instead of packaged stuff? And do you exercise? You may be so tired, because you are tense and using up the sugar (glycogen) that is stored in your muscles. Adrenaline releases that sugar to use to run or fight and you will feel pooped out if you use it up.

Can you just let the body symptoms be? Revel in no more panic attacks. That is a huge step and you are on the way to letting your body relax-- now you are working on the smaller problems. I'd say do what you did the first 6 weeks and recommit to the program. You saw the success that you can have, you just need to see it thru to completion. Ask God to help you. He's waiting for you to turn to Him.

Thx guys, I trully appreciate all of your comments, it really helps. Yes I have been slacking on the foods that I have been eating for the past couple of weeks, I was exercising every day, but have not for the past couple of weeks. I will be getting back into it soon. I am always keeping god in my life, he has told me that I am goin to be fine, but sometimes I have my doubts, I am human. I know deep down inside that I will be fine, and I will make it past all this. God bless you all!!!

I too used to feel extremely tired everyday. I noticed that watching my diet, taking my supplements and exercising have helped tremendously with it. I still wake up feeling shaky at times. Not everyday though. I have found out through saliva testing that I have very low testosterone levels which can cause anxiety, I also have reached perimenopause which can also cause anxiety. Anyone else in the same boat?
