I'm try to use the material I learn on the program, it is very hard for me, I still find my self with anxiety for almost all day, follow by synthoms of internal shakiness, dizziness ,confusion, panic. I think I would like to see a doctor to put me on some medications. The think is I wanted to get with out medications, I can't accept the fact I will have sideffect plus addictions. I guess I need to give in, those felling are taking over my entire day. What I am asking to anyone is : should I start with medications? should I go see a MD or a phsicology? How many different type of medications I need to take before I'll get the right one for me? I don't think I have depression,I do have anxiety plus panic disorder. Are the medications make people fell an act like aren't in the present moments? If I am on medication I can;t afford to be slow, in my profession people need to be awake an crisp, I will never make at my job if I act in a slow motion. Please Please someones that has knowledge up on the questions posted above would be soo kind to tell me what to do! Thank you all..

Have you seen a Dr.? Your Dr. can better tell where your at on this. Please don't give up on the program. I still get a little shakey but remember it's only anxiety and you will get through it.

Hi 9oclockreservation,

Dont take it personal, because it is'nt. Sometimes people will read posts and they feel bad that you're going through the problem, but the just dont know what to say, or they just dont have advice for you.

9oclock,

I know you are greatly troubled and how you must feel that so few responded to your dilema. For medications it's best to see a psychiatrist. A psychologist is mainly to talk to. They can't prescribe meds. It is frustrating to have to try different meds and deal with side effects. I just had a bad experience on a new med for ADD. I haven't tried anything for that for probably l0 yrs. or more. They never worked. I take xanax (the lowest dose and break it in half). I take it as needed. You could ask the Psychiatrist about that. It's not habit forming at all if you take a small dose. It could help you stick with the program. It shouldn't slow you down if you take it at night. If you need to be totally focused at work don't ever take it during the day. If you're home and very keyed up and have time for a nap it's OK to take. It will relax you. It will also help you stick with the program. It's a crutch for a while to help until you're able to walk on your own. Keep me posted as to how you're doing. I'll say a prayer. Remember to breathe deeply. It will get better.

Thank you deedee00,barbgavon for you post. The think I can't understand is: I know it is only anxiety an will pass, but why I get soo scare an make my self even sicker when I know what it is. I do a lot of positive talk, give permission to my self to be anxieus, remain me its only anxiety I am the one creating all this. But a minute after I dought my self, it just take a second to go back in to the slump. Why my brain isn't ticking like every ones? I know what I have, I am my worst enemy. How can I break up the way from those unvoluntary thoughts? The program I have understand,I put it to work, does it really work? I really have an interconflect about medication. If I take drugs I will fell like a no good..

Hi 9oclockreservation,

When you use your positive self-talk, make sure that you tell yourself stuff that you really BELIEVE. That is the key. If you don't believe the self-talk it's not gonna be very effective.

I know how frustrating this is for you, but it took me a few weeks to really get good at the self-talk, and a lot of the other stuff. But practice really does make perfect.... Or at least, close to perfect.

I can't say anything about medication because I don't take meds.

You are okay. Anxiety won't hurt you. It can only make you uncomfortable. When you start to believe that, you'll start feeling so much better.

Take care.

:)Hello there~~
I just dropped in on my way by and read your words with interest. don't be down about people not replying to your posts. It, to me, is like another reply has said, they do not know what to say. If you remember a time when there has been a loss of a friend or family member, people do come by that are a total loss for words, but their visit makes you feel that they know and understand.
Many, actually most, people here really DO KNOW AND UNDERSTAND.
I sure do--hang in there! All the best!!

Hi 9oclockreservation,

Getting really good at the positive self-talk will definitely help here. It will help you change how you think about your job, and the people around you. your thoughts will stop being so stressful.
