Some of the body symptoms have come back! I feel tired, my eyes feel weird, nauseous at times, just plain weird! Nothing like I used to feel, but I hate when I've gone a long while without these body symptoms, and then...their back! I've been on my antideppressant for 6mos., now, and I finished the program about a month or so ago. I just started to exercise again today, after not doing it for the last 2mos. I lost my job almost a month ago, but I look at that as a big relief, because it was soo stressful! I am getting ready to start school this comming Monday, and I can't wait. I know that maybe I'm a little stressed beacuse there's so much going on, and maybe that's why the some of the body symptoms have returned. I just hate dealing with them! My mind starts to wonder if there's something physically wrong with me until I start to feel better and then I'm fine. I think I may need to go through the program again, but I feel like I just got finished with it! Plus, because I don't have a job, I don't currently have medical ins., so evn if something is wrong with me, I can't go to the doctor right now! Stressed!!! Also, I have a female question. When that time of the month comes, can that also bring on some of the body symptoms? I didn't start feeling weird until that time of the month started. Does this happen to anyone else?? Need some feed back, sorry this is kinda long.

Brandi...I can't relate your female question, however, I can tell you that I relate 100% with you on the body symptoms triggering your anxiety. The thing with us is that we're wired a little different and our bodies cope, or don't, a little different from others. It's a vicious cycle! Us that are afflicted with health-related anxiety become super sensitive to any ache and pain and our mind begins to run. We stress ourselves out, the stress causing more aches/pains, and so on and son on. Try and relax yourself. Use your breathing technique you've learned through the program and float through the anxiety by knowing that your symptoms are all because of stress and anxiety. They'll go away. You're ok. I know, easier said than done but we have no alternative. My belief is that anxiety for us is a long term process. I'm sorry to say that but that's my perspective since I've been dealing with anxiety since I was 10. For me it's all health related fear, anxiety and even bouts with depression. Just know this round is because of what you're dealing with and all the stress your under. Relax and focus away from the symptoms. You're not alone....
Hi Brandi, I think what you are going through is totally normal for people like us that suffer with anxiety. I know that some symptoms for me will come back all of a sudden. I take a moment to reflect and see what is going on in my life. It usually happens to me when I am tired, or not getting good sleep, especially around the time of my cycle, like you. Check your diet, are you having caffeine, too much sugar? Just float past it, and it shall pass. Put in one of your tapes, the one that addresses your symptoms or feelings at the time, it is great for review. Good luck.
Hi Brandi,
Welcome! The other posters are right. Keep focused and maintain your breathing techniques. The health anxiety is my worst fear and I actually work in medicine!! I actually just gave my notice at my job as I am moving and the body symptoms have come on full force. Try to float through them--it's not easy but it takes practice. I can totally relate to the female question. My symptoms, hands down are worse when I ovulate and just prior to my period. Good luck--we are here for you!!

Thx, guys, it really helps to get feed back from others! I felt a little better today. I got up and my fiance and I went to church, and then out to eat, and a little shopping. Which you know shopping helps cure alot of things!! I know that the symptoms will come and go, but it's like when you go without dealing with them for awhile, and then oyt of the blue they return, all that stuff that you learned in the program just goes out the window. I start to worry immediately that something is physically wron with me, or mentally. Then slowly the skills that I learned in the program start to come back to me, I do them, and slowly the symptoms dissappear, then they come back sometime down the road. It's like a circle, am I doing something wrong? Will the symptoms always return, because I'll always have anxiety? I must not be doing something right. Not trying to come down on myself, but I just want out of the cycle. I'm deffinately thinkiong about going through the program again soon. Good luck to the rest of you!
