Yesterday I was completely ready to commit myself to the 1st mental ward I could find. I could not get it together to save my soul.

Today, it feels like I am a new person- connected, feeling up and getting so much accomplished. However, I keep wondering when will this great feeling end - setting my self up for tomorrow already. How will I hold it together tomorrow - analyzing everything different today from yesterday. Please share your experiences on how to keep it going???

Ha, great question!! The simple fact is that we all just have good days and bad days. And such is life. The bad days WILL come again, and you CAN handle them. I have heard that a good measure of progress is that you are WILLING to experience the bad days. You will NEVER get to a point where bad days do not occur. Sorry if I am the bearer of bad news here. But that's just it - it is NOT bad news - the GOOD news is that you CAN handle the bad days. You CAN feel all of those bad feelings, and still live to see another day!!! Even better than that, you can learn and grow by paying attention to your own trigger points, and deciding whether they are something worth paying attention to or not. All we can ever do is the BEST we are capable of at any given point in time. Assuming you are going through (or have gone through) the program, you are gaining the tools you need to raise your "BEST bar" a little higher every day. Sometimes our best will still feel awful (but that may just be a matter of perception, and being too hard on ourselves just for feeling things that are NORMAL for human beings to feel). So give yourself a break! It's OK to be afraid, to be sad, or to be angry - sometimes that IS the healthy path even though it might not feel that way at first.

Hello
When I catch myself getting caught in the "what if's?" I have lately started telling myself to
"STOP IT!" and remind myself to live in the
Precious Present Moment. Tomorrow isn't guaranteed to us, should we have some normal reasonable plans for the future ? Sure but obsessing about the nitty gritty details robs us of The Precious Present Moments.STOP and enjoy today :) right now ;)
Take care
Jill~
