in a month it''ll be 2 years since i was fired from my job and worked last. I'm 22 years old and honestly i really just wasted 2 years of my life not doing a thing with it.alawys kept saying I'll get a job or I'll start exercising again to start feeling better. well in april of 09 i had a really bad anxiety attack and pretty much double my anxiety symptoms. I usually have anxiety everyday. It's been like this for a year now. I'm just wondering that maybe when i find a job and start working and having a life again that maybe i'll feel better. I'm always stuck at my house. i dont have a car. and I have alot of time to lay around and stress and feel sick with my anxiety. just anyones opionion would mean alot thanx

Hey Zach,

Its me again. Yes, I think that working at a job you like will help you. You are absolutely right--when we have a lot of time on our hands, we can start in with all that negative thinking. If you are working, being productive and using up some of your excess energy, I think you will feel better. Plus I think you will have more self esteem and that will help too.

It definitely sounds like you could benefit greatly from getting a job and being productive. In the past when I've been out of work, it just gives me SO much time to think and worry. As Samcat said, I'm sure it would boost your self esteem and you would just feel a whole lot better.
