I went through it last year, it worked wonders to be honest, Anxiety more or less gone, depression greatly improved all and all I am pleased, but there are still a few annoyances remaining, I am still a very negative thinker, and I think being negative attracts negative things into life, I am an over reactor, I still worry, I still let people walk all over me. I think now its life skills I need from the program. Should I go through it again??

I have listened to the program several times in the last three years and each time I find new things to work on. If it helped that much last time, it certainly can't hurt to listen to it. You are likel in a different frame of mind then you were a year ago and will likely learn new things.

I agree with labourg. We've made a huge investment in the program and it's here to help us whenever we may need it. I think you should try it again. I liken it to reading a book, the first go around you get the story. The second reading, you get the details....

I think the program was designed to do over and over again. I'm on my second time now, and i'll be doing it again after that. Nothing wrong with repatition, it's the most effective way to learn anything.

I bought the program in 2003. I've been through a lay off, Hurricane Katrina, dd going off to college and a host of other fun things. Right now it's job hunting. I've found that I have to regroup each time one of life's hiccups occurs and if I get a little too derailed I dust off my "stress tapes" {my name for the program} and listen to them all over again. Sometimes I just flip through the workbook and work on whatever section it is I'm "practicing" as Carolyn calls it.

Sometimes I don't realize I need it again until I hear a comment from ds this past week - he said "Mom you were really stressed at the beach on vacation". Light bulb - time to start listening again.

Definitely go through it again - it's a lifetime journey...that's why they are life skills that we keep tweaking.

Best of luck....

pear you might be interested in the book "What to say when you talk to yourself" it's like a refresher course and also helps to propel you even further into being positive.
