I'm very upset. I am currently on my 6th session of the program and at first I was doing great with my anxiety and had gotten rid of my attacks, but recently I've just been so anxious. For the past few days my arms have been numb and I'm on edge, I just feel hopeless. I feel like this isn't going to help me. I've pretty much lost all motivation.

hey,
I somewhat completed the program, but not yet through with the booklets yet. But around that session i became really anxious as well. Its mainly because you now have a knowledge of what is going on with you, and it will feel unbearable at times. I had a breakdown, litterally today! Just keep going, and know that others are right here with you, going through some of the same things. I just wanna enjoy life and be "normal" again myself. stay encouraged

I recommend the use of the relaxation tapes at least 3 times per day -- more if needed. If you can't get through the who tape/cd just play it for 1 minute at a time until you build up the ability to listen to the entire 15 minutes. This really helps as you go through the program because it is CBT and is designed to help you develop an automatic relaxation response instead of automatically going into a panic all the time. Stick with the program -- I believe in it and it has worked wonders for me. I, too, had a tough day and I could have panicked many times but I handle days like these so much better now!

Hey Stephanie...I am on session 6 too and today I had pretty high anxiety after doing well for a few days. Just because you have a couple rough days, it doesn't mean you won't get better! Hang in there girl. You know it's only anxiety and you know you are learning the skills to beat it. Keep up the positive self talk and things will only get better
