This time of year can be a very sad time for many. I encourage you to make a decision to enjoy or at least attempt to enjoy the holiday season.
Last night I was watching on The History Channel The Christmas Truce. It was the story of how during WW I enemies paused the fighting and celebrated Christmas Eve and Day, 1914. The British, along many points of the battlefront, were surprised to hear the Germans caroling and walking toward them with a Christmas tree. Eventually many of the British soldiers and officers met their German counterparts. Unofficial truces sprung up along the battlefront! British and Germans talked and smoked together, "chilled out" as we would say now, and even played football (which was actually more like soccer.) December 26 fighting started up again.
A decision was made by some Germans to pause the war. Try and do the same thing with your anxiety, depression, finances, etc. Try and enjoy Christmas Eve and Day. Maybe you will be successful in pausing until New Year's.
