I have had no energy and have just wanted to eat and watch TV or sleep when I was not at work. I decided if I am going to get control of my life, I would take a note book and make a list of everything that I have been putting off and tackle one thing at a time. It worked better than I thought it would. I started out by putting on gym clothes for walking. I decided that all I had to do was 30 min of walking and then I would look at my list and choose a few things to accomplish today. Wow, I not only knocked out a lot of tasks, but, actually had fun doing it. In fact, I had a call from a person who just called to tell me they loved me that I hadn't heard from for a year, and another friend drop by who lives out of state to visit as well as new clients calling to get their hair done. It felt great to have a day where I forgot to be depressed, stressed and tired.

That is wonderful. It's a great feeling to accomplish things and mark them off of the list.
I can relate to how you feel. I am also a hairdresser. It has been a struggle for me to get motivated and not want to sleep on my days off.

Well, I think it is ok to rest on your day off. It was the neg. thoughts that I allowed to run through my head when I wasn't working that were killing me. I had no idea I had such an addiction until I listened to the CD's and was made aware of how important it was to let things go and change my thinking. By brain was making me miserable.
