Hi everyone! The first time I posted on this site I was ready to give up. I was only starting session 2 and thought this program was not going to help me. Well, I was wrong. It all started Sat. night when I was felling a panic attack coming on. I ran to my bedroom, like I always have, and went straight to the bathroom. Once I got in there I started to remember all the things I learned in session 2, so instead of fighting the horrible feelings like I always have I used those tools to get through my attack. And by doing so I got through it. It didn't take an hour or more like it always has because I didn't fight the bad feelings. That lead to the biggest step I've taken yet. I have not left my house since june of last year. Just the thought of taking one step outside would start a panic attack. That all changed Sunday. After getting threw my panic attack the night before, I felt it was time to take the next step. I walked outside my front door. I felt really uneasy, but I did it anyway. I spent about an hour or so outside. The weather was nice and sunny. I know I still have a long way to go, but I did it. I did one of the things I've feared for almost a year now. It really gives me hope. I'm not giving up on this program. They may be small, but I'm seeing the changes now. I can't wait for the day that I can get into my truck and take my kids to school again, or be able to take the 10 minute trip to the lake to go fishing with my boyfriend. It's going to take alot of work, but I now know I have the tools to get me there. I'M NOT GIVING UP NOW!!!! :)

Yippee for you!!!! That is just fantastic!! Be sure to tell yourself how very well you are doing!! Pat yourself on the back for you are doing so well!!!
And do you know what??? it isn't going to be so long before you take that little fishing trip.
You are practically on your way!!
Keep working the program and talking so gently and kindly to yourself. Be proud of yourself.

I am so pleased to hear of your progress. You are tougher skinned than you thought you were to get through a panic attack and come out the other side stronger and wiser. Keep up the hard work and good things will happen. :)

THANK YOU ALL SOOOO MUCH FOR YOUR KIND WORDS!!! I know I still have a long way to go. Some day I will be back on the lake catching a big old bass. But until then, I'm taking it one day at a time. Went outside again today. This time no one was home and I was still able to do it. :)
