Mother concerned about teen daughter having anxiety

My daughter recently turned 13 she has been complaining of racing heart and dizziness. She had an ekg and it was normal. Should I be doing other tests? Should I assume its anxiety? I am not sure what to do.

Anyone dealing with teens?

I am not a teen, but an adult whose anxiety and symptoms started around 9 or 10! Many symptoms, with parents spending thousands of dollars on medical tests and specialists, only to find out many months later, it was anxiety and depression. For many, anxiety manifests itself early in life, pre-teen to teen years.

I would speak with your daughter's doctor and perhaps he can talk with her one on one regarding any issues; issues maybe she doesn't feel comfortable speaking to you about. Trust me, it is worth a shot!
