For some reason I believe in my head that she has a right to treat me unkind. I often wonder what it is about me that she dislikes. She has been reprimanded, but continues to be nasty and create lies about me to get others to dislike me also.
I have trouble sleeping because I cannot stop the incessant mind from feeling like the victim and it takes sometimes 2 days to get a little thing out of my system, but it is never ending, there is always something else, that my mind takes hold of to torment me with. Help.

I know of people that can do that to me. It seems to take 3 days of figuring it out why they are acting that way or said the weird thing that just comes right off the wall! Just practice telling yourself you are "okay" and posting on here is a real help. I know that I can't go to my husband everytime someone makes an off the cuff comment.
So I'm glad I'm able to come here or work with Ninja on his David Burns CBT workbook he has posted. What he is doing on that thread is helpful to work on for yourself at home.

I know the workplace just is not a friendly place to be all the time, because not all people are caring or thoughtful and self-disciplined. Plus have you watched TV lately. All it teaches people is how to be "rude" and "impolite" and "sarcastic".

I have to keep choosing what I watch on TV carefully because it is not a safe place for the brain. I am choosing more productive shows and learning to change the channel when it starts to get negative. We really do need to feed our minds w/ positive things, since we are bombarded daily with the negative.

Cheer up and know that we are here for you.
