I am on Session 4 and it has helped me recognize
my triggers( things that are anxiety triggers for me) Believe me I have had a few bad days lately but I believe I am on the road to recovery by recognizing my fears/frustrations,
being positive, being less affected by things/people around me. I have been working on
my positive thinking and my anger issues (blaming everyone else for my unhappiness) and
I will move on from here It just takes a LOT of
practice and you may not be ready for them when
they creep up on you but you need to recognize them and CHANGE the way you view certain situations/old beliefs,& bad behaviors.
SO yes; the program has helped me so far and I believe it will continue to. It is worth it; I don't regret buying it at all. It's amazing.
Good Luck to you!
How many here have taken/purchased this course..and
Hi !
I have purchased the program. I am not sorry in the least ! I am just starting lesson 6 and the changes in me are amazing! My husband has noticed and so has my son (who doesn't even live here).
Anxiety and panic are problems for my kids who are 38 and 41. They both suffer altho I must say my daughter more than my son. I hope that I can help them when I get stronger. Don't forget that this affliction is handed down to us usually.
The program is easy - just follow the steps - if there is a problem with the program it is the time and effort you must give it. But hey! It has taken years and years to get me to be this bad !!! As I see it this is a life long journey and I don't mind at all being on this road with so many others !

Well, I think it MUST be worth it, because I got through past session 5, then got too busy to do anymore, but for quite some time, I haven't been crying over every little thing and I haven't been getting so overwhelmed by life that I can't function properly (except my memory... that doesn't work very well). I think that if you do the program all the way through, and KEEP doing what is required with a good attitude, it would probably be worth it. I bought it on sale, though... If I'd paid full price, I'd probably be more inclined to question its value. Kinda steep in price. Many people that are depressed or have anxiety problems probably aren't out there earning big bucks!
I got the program back in Nov 2005.
Was it worth it? YES! I was anxious, depressed and then got an autoimmune disease, and then another, and now I may have another one. BUT I am living again! I have less than a year left in college and look forward to working again. I volunteer at church, take care of my friends mom and multi task homework, house work, family and friends. I do not come here often anymore because I am living my life. The program was expensive, but I have gain my life back and that really is priceless to me and my family. The program IS work and does NOTHING magic, so do not expect a miracle. You create your own by working the program, following the advice and APPLYING it everyday. It is much effort to do, constantly remind yourself to be positive, and that you are worthy but it does get easier as living what the program teaches becomes automatic. Is everything in my life perfect? NO and I do not expect it to be and THAT is the key for me a former perfectionist. I accept things. I also let things go and realize that I do NOT have to live up to anyones expectations. I also had a therapist help me with some specific issues I had that just stuck. Sometimes a multi prong approach is needed. I know I needed to work through my issues using different tools. The program is nice to have in case I ever feel I need to grab a lesson and the workbook and work on me. This is a process, we grow through doing this. It will not change your life overnight, but it has the possibility to change your life! It did mine. I am involved in life and unfortunately I get in this site rarely due to attending classes. But I come here when I can.

I bought it a year or two ago, and aside from listening to it once, and following the relaxation CD a few times, it has not been worth it for me.... but then after listening to other people talked, I realized that my problem with anxiety was probably not as extreme as I thought. I think it would help people, if they are willing to follow the advice and do the relaxation, but if they are anything like me and just procrastinate or don't do something because it's too overwhelming, then no.... it probably isn't worth it.
I got it from a friend and am just now going thru the program how it was intended instead of just listening to the entire thing and jumping to the parts that more deal with what I'm going thru. I do think it helps to some degree and I'm hoping it helps me completely when I'm done. I think what has helped me so far is just listening to others that are describing the exact same symptoms I have been having for years and feeling like I was the only person going thru it. I had gotten to a point where I was just giving up. I had seen the Drs and therapist and they had put me on medications that weren't really helping. Even as I was going to see these people though and was being told I was suffering from anxiety I still felt I was experiencing it 1000X worse than anyone else because it was controlling my life. It wasn't until I had an attack one night and got up around 3am that a just happened to turn the station to that channel just as the commercial was coming on. I knew it was an infomercial which I normally just breeze right thru but for some reason I took my finger off the remote for a second and listened. I was so shocked to hear others describing the exact same problems that I DVR'd the infomercial. First time I had ever watched one let alone recorded one. I watched it for a couple days before mentioning it to a friend that happened to have a friend who owned it. I really do think it helps knowing others have the same problems and being able to get on the forums every once in a while to see how others are coping with it. There is a very reputable eating disorder clinic in Toledo that unfortunately I had to put my daughter into on 2 different occasions. It is about an 8 hour drive from where I live but while she was there we made the trip almost every weekend to see her. I swore I'd never make that trip again but I sure wish I lived close enough to attend some of the sessions they have in person since we don't have anything like that anywhere around here. I guess I'll just keep listening to the tapes and reading the forums. What have you got to lose except a little money. Easy to say when you got it free but I'm actually thinking of going ahead and buying a set to keep for myself. I don't know how often they do updates but the set I have I think may be a bit older.
