I posted earlier in the week that I kept getting smothering sensations and it felt like I couldnt' breathe. Of course, once I took my mind off it, it went away and I have not had it since. This is my problem now. Yesterday when I was driving home after work, I got this uncomfortable feeling. It might have been a muscle spasm but I am not sure. It actually moved me forward a little bit as I was driving. It was a muscle spasm that started underneath my left armpit and came across my breast and into my chest. As quick as it came, it went away. Of course, I am thinking the worst - you know, that it is a sign I am going to have a heart attack, stroke, anything but anxiety related. Now today, I keep getting a little jabbing muscle spasm that is underneath my left arm pit. It moves just a little and it is gone in literally seconds. Have any of you ever had this. Have any of you every had a muscle spasm that actually shifted you forward. I can't even describe it as a pain because I don't think it was. Please let me know.

I've had something similar, no spasms but muscle pain near my armpit that sometimes moves across my chest. Sometimes on the left, sometimes on the right. Sometimes across the back. Went to MD and he believes it's stress related. WHen I'm occupied it's not there, just during down time (when the mind is free to do it's worst!).

Catrisch,
I woke up last night with that smothering cant breath feeling this morning at 2 am and it w=led to a huge panic attack and i thought i was going to die. it feels as if someone was plugging my nose. it was awful and scared ti get it again. What do you do when you get that??

Also, i too get that twitchy feeling under my armpit and it makes it feel sore after. I guess with that i just ignore it because i know its anxiety.

Are muscle twitches anyway related to anxiety? I often get them.
