I just purchased the program and received it a week ago. I am very positive about the outcome of this for myself and my family. However, I have asthma and that among other things is the biggest cause of my anxiety. I have had 2 BIG asthma attacks in the last year and I constantly worry that it will happen again. When I had my first panic attack, which was this past April, I was in some caves and there was 80% humidity and we were really low below ground and it takes your breath away. Well I started to feel my heart beat like crazy, my throat felt swollen and it was hard for me to breath and I just kept thinking it felt like an asthma attack and I started to freak out. Now there is obviously no windows or doors and I was feeling very closed in. My reasoning for mentioning the all this about the asthma, is that I am afraid that IF I have another asthma attack and I feel the program has really worked for me, will I resort back to the panic attacks? I know, there's that what if feeling, but the asthma may not ever go away and I want to get better and stop living in fear. I am a worrier by nature and I want to end this vicous cyle. Any takers?!?!

Hello mama mo. I too have severe anxiety and asthma. I just diagnosised with asthma a couple of years ago But I've had anxiety all my life.

I have had a few asthma attacks as well a result of allergens triggering my asthma. It is scary. But you are learning the tools to manage your anxiety and negative thinking.

I have not had an astma attack in awhile. I take my controller medications and monitor my peak flows regularly. I also carry my rescue inhaler with me for when I need it. I also have an asthma plan with my MD which helps me know what I should do in an event of an atshma attack.

It's natural to be frightened. When your having a panic attack you feel like you can;t breathe just like when your having an asthma attack.

But use the 6 steps to calm your mind and your breathing. I have sometimes wondered if my panic attacks brought on an asthma attack.

With having completed the program I can differentiate what is a panic attack and what is truely an asthma attack.

Good luck to you and God Bless.
