Most places that used to cause me anxiety/panic, I can now go and feel good. However, there are still a few places that I go that still gets me wound up. My head and chest muscles contract leaving me feeling a little rough. I know I am not going to pass out or die, but I am really determined to boot the rest of this condition and overcome these places to.
Any advice for these last few places I still feel anxious?
Almost there
yeah,
don't stop going, webb.
keep going, despite the feelings to flee, the tight chest, and the uncomfortable feelings.
i went through this back when my panic attacks started last March, and if i went to a restaurant i had to know where the exits and bathroom was "just in case". I also had an extremely hard time seeing action movies (and i love action movies) for a period of time because the violence elevated my anxiety levels.
i still see a counselor, and we agree that had i allowed the feelings of fear and dread to overcome me and if i had left out of fear or worse yet, avoided these places, then it would only be reinforcing some irrational fear and take longer to recover from.
no, face the fear, breathe, know that you are ok, and go through it.
in time, it won't bother you anymore.
(9 months later, and i am enjoying action movies again and restaurants).
no fear
