So, normally I have periods of anxiety and the occasional panic attack. I haven't had an attack in about six months, despite how stressful my life (particularly work) has been. But for the last couple of days, I've been very hyper-vigilant and easily startled. Basically, if I see someone out of the corner of my eye, I'm like "is that 'so and so'?" And slight sounds are making me jump. I've never been jumpy like this. My anxiety was usually a result of my thoughts. Now, I had a cold recently that really drained me, but that doesn't feel like the reason for this new symptom.
Anyone else going through or have gone through a jumpy, skittish period?

I'm like this all the time. I remember reading somewhere that people with anxiety issues are more prone to be jumpy. Just another one of those lovely symptoms to go along with the 30000 other ones out there. I think it's because we are so much on alert that anything outside of that causes us to jump.
I hope you feel better soon...having colds are no fun.
