...and I don't know what I'm going to do as far as my program is concerned. I don't know if I can pay for it now.

What happened is that I blew up at someone for saying something about me, and they called security on me and told them that I threatened them (which I did not). Because these other employees felt threatened, I had to be let go.

How am i going to use my skills for this? What positives could possibly come from this situation?... :(

Join the club. I too lost my job a week ago. I've been trying to see if I can get unemployment. I never get a real person to talk to so never get answers. I filled out unemployment forms online but should have gotten confirmation by now. I will try again after the noon hour to see if I get someone somehow.

Is it possible you could get unemployment? Call StressCenter.com. They will work with you. Somehow there will be a way to afford the program. Even if you have to sell something to pay for it, do it. I'm so grateful for this program even tho I still haven't overcome the anx/dep. It's great knowing other people are being helped. There are days when I'm good and help others. That is a good feeling. I've made many friends on here and get the support I need. Doing the lessons and listening to the CD's help. I don't always take the time to do the program every day. It would be better if I did even l5-20 min. ea. day instead of cramming a whole bunch in one day. I will be praying for you. PM me if you want. Or keep posting here so I know how you're doing.

I was laid off today after 6 years of service to a company which I was very loyal too. The toughest part was that I've been without a boss since last August, so the person who laid me off was an owner of the company. I'm crushed. I do not feel like a failure or feel like it's anyone's fault. I feel kinda numb. I will find another job, perhaps a new city? I need a fresh start.

If you are in this situation, I'm sorry. Remember your strengths and make yourself the most marketable person you can. Go out and get that new job.

Zeph
I have great story about losing my first full time job after having it for 10 yrs. This was a while ago when the company i was working for got bought out and several hundred people lost thier jobs. The first thing I did was go to unemployment and not only file for unemployment, but see where the job trends were going. During that time, Microsoft tools were just emerging - and thought training in this area was beneficial - I was able to get state funding for Microsoft Development classes. This lead me into what ended up being very successful software dev company - I was able to leverage these new found skills into several other opportunities always learning new skills that are highly marketable. I have to say - if I never got that PUSH I would not have become as successful as I am now -- so to your question - ABSOLUTELY SOMETHING POSITIVE WILL COME FROM THIS!!! :)
