Ok i previously, finish session 2 and was just starting session 3.
When i decided to slack off, just let myself go, for a week. Well boy
did i ever learn a important lession. Now i feel my anxiety is getting worst compare to before. Now i would really like to get back on track with the program. I need some advice, should i just start on session 3 again. or should i restart the whole progam again.
Help with reintegrating the progam back in my life.
Hello Brian,
Very interesting dilemma. I also was in the middle of session 3 and doing very well when I then hurt my knee last week very badly. I had to get surgery and it basically "threw me back a a few weeks". At least thats what it felt like. This program takes a HUGE time commitment and now with my knee I dont even know how to get back on track. I am getting anxiety even thinking about how to fit the program in. Does this happen to you?
My suggestion is to start with session 2 and review it for a couple days and you will probably be back on track.

When I read your 2 posts, I sense a feeling of perfectionism and "oh no, I'm behind, I'm failing" talk.
This program is a 15 week one, but it give you 15 weeks to introduce these concepts into your life, not expectations that you should be healed or not anxious or whatever in those 15 weeks. Take it easy on yourselves is my advice. If you have a hard time on a lesson, repeat it. If you have an extenuating circumstance come up, back track a bit, and get going again when you are able. There is no medal at the end for finishing, just an improved life and a sense of greater peace.
Take comfort in the fact that you are so excited to feel better that you are fretting about it. That means you are excited and wanting to move forward. Let yourself go forward and go with the flow. You'll get to the end when you get there and will learn a ton along the way.

A week or two shouldn't be a big deal just keep going. It's a different story if you stop doing it for months, then you'll definitely need that refresher, but you may only need to listen to the CD once or twice to catch up, and not need to take a whole week doing so.
What I did was take the average amount of time, 15 weeks to get through it. There were 2 sessions that I didn't need to really delve into, so I just listened to them once in case there was some info that I would benefit from.
So I ended up finishing the program a couple of weeks early. Then I took 2 weeks off, an "information vacation" if you will, and then went through a CD session a day, for 2 weeks to ingrain it back into my head.
After that I listened to a few different CD's, especially the one from session 8, which I think is one of my favorites.
So, there's no perfect way to do it, the point is just doing it and applying it to your life.

When I missed from Thanksgiving to New Years I jst listened to the sessions at one a day then also reread the chapters again at one a day. I'll tell you one thing for sure, going thru it like that really made more things "click: into place! You may try that. I have since then gone back after I get thru the workboook that I will go back to the previous workbook and do it again like that. It sure works great for me!
