I really never would have pictured myself being able to do this, but I submitted a manuscript not too long ago and actually got my book published. Usually my self-criticism would have gotten in the way of doing something like this, but I'm definitely less affected now by what other people think and I'm just excited its happened. Its not a very big book, its just a small cookbook. If anyone wants to check it out, here is the link....

That's fantastic bambino! And it's Italian food, even better. I am of Sicilian heritage, near Palermo.

Congratulations! I was published in a book of poetry once long ago, but never had my own book. That is awesome. By the way, how do you submit writings to publishers?

I did check it out, and I am going to order it, too. I don't cook, but then, I will still enjoy reading it. I hope you have another book planned, or in progress. My first book was published twenty years ago. It was a cultural book, too. I then wrote another six, four of those were picked up by publishers and three are still in print; one in its third edition, and another in its second edition, and the other was put into audio book form two years ago. For me, nothing beats the joy of reading a book, whether fiction, nonfiction, travel, food, cookbook, short stories, it doesn't matter. Congratulations!

My question is how you were able to focus enough to write a book? I am really having a hard time focusing enough just to write this reply. My mind wanders so fast from one subject to the other that I forget what the original project was and never get it done. Congratulations on this wonderful accomplishment!!

Thanks for all the support, much appreciated. Ok, to all mixed up, I think its easier for me to stop having all the negative thinking when I actually am focused on a task. Its when I don't have anything to do that my mind starts to wander.

Wow, pecos you are a serious writer, that's great. I appreciate you checking it out. What sort of books do you write?

To hawaiihereicome the hardest part of submitting your writings to a publisher is just picking one. I did some research to see who offered the most support and other things I was interested in. Then I submitted it and it was accepted. That is really all there is to it.

Nice bambino! I've been telling myself for years that I need to start cooking REAL meals, but just don't know where to start. This seems right up my alley!
