life is good - and it's a long post!

hiiiiii gang!!!!!

i'm having a fun time - and it's not ALL in my imagination LOL two friends at work started clearing out their closets and have given me loads of cool clothes. it's such a good time when i can actually shop in my front bedroom!!! of course i'm going to have to clear out a bunch of my old clothes so i'll have somewhere to put these. they'll go to the battered women's shelter or goodwill.

more than anything in this world i'm on a walking kick! yesterday it was 3 miles - 2 with pony - then 1 with keeper. they so love to walk and it's finally cool enough not to melt. i did it again today after work too! i'm not going to think about how icky it will be when i'm shut inside the house in the cold. and mano - i know that makes you laugh being in canada! when it gets cold is when i'll restart yoga and all in the living room - if i can take how cold it will be in there!!!!

i got a button pushed on me today big time. my reaction surprised me. boy did that person get my goat! i rode it out - just hurt feelings - nothing more. lesson learned for today? i'm not a player. i can't run with the big dogs so i'm just going to sit on the porch. bottom line? you can't make somebody love you - not for anything in this world. they either do or they don't. again - lesson RElearned. a friend of mine asked me yesterday if i needed a "remediation" class. not anymore! i got it this time!!!!

on a good note, i'm being left alone at work to just do my job. how great is that? no drama or trauma in the last week or two. you more than know how grateful i am for the respite! i hope it lasts a long time.

mamao - come fix my front toilet? i've got all the new pieces for the inside and have no clue how to put them together LOL somewhere in my life resume it says "does not read or follow directions" - a funny sad truth!

everybody sounds upbeat and positive. yay for us!!!!

What's wrong with your toilet ? The water's supposed to go down the hole ! Don't plug it up or you'll flood ! LOL

Don't let people get your goat ! Just breathe. Turn the radio on in your head like I do ! Today it was "o-o-o-o-h child, things are gonna get easier. o-o-o-o-h child things will get briiiighter...... Someday yeah we'll walk in the rays of the beautiful sun...etc etc" LOL

and best of all THAT radio doesn't need batteries !

Sounds like you could open up a clothing store ! LOL

I started to gut the bathroom tonight. I'll do more tomorrow morning then off to the dump I go !

hi gang!

i'm here and as happy as if i had good sense. i heard from a super good friend last sunday - we talked for 5 hours on the phone and had more fun than anyone. we hadn't talked for 2.5 years! she gave me - yet again - the best advice ever. ready mano? you're going to love it.

she said - "work people are put there for our amusement and entertainment." then she said -"watch them - watch how they act and the things they say and do. and let yourself see how ridiculous they are." so i did just that this week. guess what? they are nothing more and nothing less than pure entertainment LOL x forever try it - you'll see - i promise you will!!!!!

10.10.10 was an incredibly fun day for me!

i heard this statement from 3 different people 3 times this week. i'm going to heed it with every fiber of my being. "stay under the radar." translation? lay low at work. do not call attention to one's self. i can do that quite easily now. it's an art i'm evolving LOL and it's easier than i thought it would be - go figure!

i've been walking the dogs every afternoon after work. i have so much good and positive energy!!!! i think i've now posted that twice? oops!

so how was everyone's week? good i hope!

good advice on the work place. I was amused when i read the stay below the radar. that has been my moto for 5 plus yrs. though I call it flying below the radar. where I work there is a big turnover either they quit or get fired I can't believe I have lasted as long as I have. the watching otheres and being amused is a good idea we have a lot of drama and a drama queen.being less affected by what others say and do is the best way to go and staying out of the office gossip that is so dangerous.

I am on Session #4 on the program and I am just beginning to start writing on this website.

My good news: I just started to Volunteer with the Humane Society and that has really boosted my self esteem and I am really feeling good about the whole experience. I have always wanted to Volunteer and now I am finally doing it! It is something I am truly interested in doing and I love doing it. It is a big step: meeting new people, learning a new "job", being involved in a new activity, being totally serious about commiting myself to a worthy cause.

I cannot stop thinking about all of the possibilities that may be out there for me and this is just the start.

An excerpt from an old book I just finished reading:

Much more surprising things can happen to anyone who,when a disagreeable or discouraged thought comes into his mind, just has the sense to remember in time and push it out by putting in an agreeable determinedly courageous one. Two things cannot be in one place.

Karma - and boy do I see how ridiculous workers can be. My boss told me off for something today and when he realized he was wrong, he actually apologized ! I couldn't believe it ! It was like I was dreaming LOL

My bathroom is now completely gutted. It's just a shell of a room now. Now the fun part...putting it all back together. I just have to re-route some wiring and a few vents and I'm good to go. I have to call my brother about the wiring though. I don't want to fry myself. I've learned many things, but wiring is one I'm still nervous about.

Tomorrow is Friday and after work is Home Depot time ! LOL Time to pick out a new tub for starters......but I need the drywall and vapour barrier and insulation first (it's 48 degrees right now). It warms up to the mid 60's during the day. I prefer working in the colder weather anyway !

How's everyone's day today ??????

i've lived up or down to my name laylow this week. i am so proud of myself! it hasn't really been that hard either - go figure.

ok mano - you've simply must come down and fix my front toilet and back porch light. i think it's only fair LOL it amazes me what you can do with remodeling and such. you're a true rock star!

i'm off monday - unpaid furlough day. it's supposed to be a pretty day so i'm fine with being off. and it's going to be a 3 day weekend for me. i almost took friday off but decided to save the time for when i can't stand being there. i'm sure you understand? LOL

I FULLY understand !

It just seems that one day, he's going to come across something I really screwed up and he's going to take his frustrations out on the situation. I'm surprised that I have put up with the emotional roller coaster for as long as I have. I guess I've become an adult ! LOL

Toilets are easy to fix. Did you lose the electrical connection to the back light ? Plumbing I can deal with......electricity is another thing. My brother is the electrical guy.

Have a good day at work tomorrow and have a relaxing 3 day weekend ! I work for half a day Saturday, but that's ok. It gives me extra $$$$$$$ to finish the bathroom !

mano - that was too funny! i misread the electrical connection thing and thought you were talking about running electricity through the toilet LOL

i am so looking forward to not being at work monday - yayyyyyyyy. i've made plans to hang out with a friend and mama. it will be nothing if not party central for me this weekend LOL
