Jill - Did you picture us all cheering you on ???? Did you takes steps to do something out of your comfort zone today ????
Karma ! - Lisa sounds like a smart lady ! Wise advice for sure. How's your eye doing ? Have you ripped it out yet ? LOL
Today the last job was tried out. It went good. Another job however didn't go too smooth today. The design for the job was done in Europe. All I did was print it out and give the info to the shop. Well...there was a mistake on the drawing. Not my fault, but since I printed it out, I have this sense of guilt. Because of this particular mistake, a couple of people in the shop had to stay another 10 hours to fix the tool. The guilt increased when I heard this. I will be seeing the 2 guys tomorrow. Luckily, the one guy has an awesone sense of humoUr. Maybe I'll play on that......or maybe I'll just stay in the office. I hate this feeling. It's not my fault, but that doesn't seem to matter right now. I know I said I'd never take my work home with me...........ok, it's gone......but I hear it knocking on my front door ! LOL
How was today ???????

my day was incredibly good - although the sandwich i made for lunch wasn't good at all.
now on to you! so the design wasn't perfect. questions: was anyone killed? did anyone lose their job? answers: no
will people still have a home and food on their plate? yes
you feel you made a mistake. what steps can you take in the future to ensure it doesn't happen again - if it was your fault?
will the guys hate you forever for having to work overtime? probably not. would you hate someone for making a mistake that would inconvenience you? i'm thinking probably not. mistakes happen to the best of us. it was a fixable mistake - so that's a positive.
"we" are such perfectionists that we make ourselves nuts with guilt. so much is unnecessary. say unnecessary 105 times. examine the situation - fold it neatly - and tuck it away in a closet in your mind and close the door to ensure you leave it alone.
i hate making mistakes. at yesterday's staff meeting i was asked if i'd brought 2 different items. nope. i've put a note on my outlook calendar to pop up monday morning reminding me to bring said items to next week's meeting. did i feel dumb? yep. am i beating myself up over it? nope. if it hadn't been that, it would have been something else later in the day.
never ever think i don't know exactly how you are feeling right now. we all do.
i came home today and did yoga. i've got to start getting back in shape. i have no endurance right now! it was a good session. it didn't feel too long or too tiring. i didn't do the relaxation part at the end because i felt so relaxed from all the stretching. again, the yoga i do is for stretching and stress/tension release. i'll never accomlish backbends or handstands LOL but that's not what i'm looking for anyway. i just enjoy feeling my muscles relaxing!
i was good at work today. very quiet and focused. mama and i have a joke that my middle name is "lay low". i'm knowing that's going to be the absolute best thing for me at work - especially since i'm in such a highly visible place. just sit very still - like a cameleon lizard trying to blend in on an ivy leaf LOL it's safer.
i'd forgotten this mantra and it works wonderfully - "turn it loose and let it go". that is my wish for you right now!
hold your head up when you go in tomorrow and smile. if you feel the need, do go to the guy who has a sense of humoUr and apologize or say whatever makes you feel better.
you are wonderful - never forget that!!!!!

That's what I needed to hear (I mean read) LOL.
Thanks Lay Low LOL.....Lay Lowwwwwww you got me on my knees Lay Lowwwwwwww I beggin' darling please Lay Lowwwwwwwww LOLOLOL
I will let it go. It's amazing that something that isn't even my fault can cause me guilt. Oh well...... I'll probably apologize tomorrow anyway ! That's me !
Now make your lunch then get a good night sleep and I will do the same.

Work went as smooth as glass today !!!!!! Nobody said anything and everyone was in an excellent mood ! It was like I walked into the Twilight Zone. I'm not going to question it, I'm just going to accept it ! LOL I hope it isn't the calm before the storm..........I need to stop thinking like that. I think that the week will end off on a good note AND if I play my cards right, maybe I can actually get Saturday off !
Hope all went well for you today !

it's so cool you used twilight zone. someone said yesterday they felt candid camera was following them around. my response was i'm always waiting for rod sterling to welcome me into the twilight zone LOLOL
i spent this week in the role of "lay low." never has a person so much resembled a cameleon on an ivy leaf as me. i sit giving directions to here and there, answering the phone - always smiling - never moving.
i did have a lady tell me today who'd called with questions tell me she'd never had anyone be so nice to her LOL she said she couldn't believe i actually answered all her questions and said to call back if she thought of any others. i remember when things 1 and 2 chided - that's me being nice - for talking - in their opinions - too long. this woman actually said - you know, most people don't explain anything - but you took the time! i am that good LOL the perfect stepford whatever it is i do.
a coworker called about an hour before lunch - we have caller id now. i answered the phone "blah blah blah - this is blah blah blah - how can i help you - please kill me now. she died laughing. we were both so ready to get out of there for an hour and i don't take lunch until 1:00. i figure if i can make it from 8:00 until 1:00 - i can take pretty much anything the last 3 hours there.
it was the most incredibly sunny day! bright blue sky - not a cloud anywhere. the wind made it cold - but the sunshine - i so love sunshine!
the days are getting longer. soon i'll be able to come home and take pony for a walk after work. it still gets dark too quickly to go to the river walk now - it's not a safe place after dark. i wish they'd stop daylight savings time. i would so prefer to go to work in the dark for 2+ hours and have the daylight after work!
i'm so glad you're having a good time. don't question the good time - just enjoy them!!!!

Today was an AWESOME day ! Everyone left me alone to do my work and the day flew by ! My hours are kind of like yours. I start at 7:00 and my lunch is at noon. The afternoon flies by since it's only 3 to 4 hours. Like I said, today was AWESOME.........until I got home. I decided to fill out my income tax form tonight. This is the first year in a long time I owe $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. From March until August I was on that rotating layoff. So every other week, I got Unemployment. Well, they don't take enough income tax off. I got screwed. I'm sending the income tax form off without the money. The few years I owed, I never sent a cheque (Canadian spelling again) with it. They always went over it, then sent me a bill. One year, I thought I owed almost $2,000.00. They mailed me a notice stating that I made an error and that I owed $150.00 LOL I'm hoping it's the same this time. I mailed it off tonight. I don't have to have the $$$$ in until April 30th.
So, if it wasn't for the government, my day would've been 100% AWESOME !!!! LOL
I'm glad you can find some humoUr during the workday ! I'd love to be able to do that. The secretery doesn't get in until 9:30, so I'm usually the one that answers the phone. I WISH I could say what you said ! LOL THAT would rock !!! LOL
Time to make my lunch and then relax for the rest of the night.
Glad your day went smooooooooth and I hope tomorrow goes even smoother !

i finally realized i've been doing my taxes wrong for the last 8 years. i'm going to have to get an accountant to fix my mistakes. maybe i'll get money back since i've been paying 2 state income taxes? DUH
well mr. awesome - i bow to you! reading about how good your days are could make me green with envy - but i'm not a jealous person. since one of us has to have a stellar week, i'm so glad it's you - really i am!!!
i'm watching a dreadful mystery science theater 3000 movies - the indestructible man. there's nothing like mst3000 to keep a spirit alive LOL
when rod sterling steps out of the shadows tomorrow, i'll give him your regards LOL
party on, my rocker friend!!!!
