Hi All - Usually when I am stuck in traffic (as a driver and passenger) I get really freaked out and very angry.
This past weekend my husband and I went to a concert, which is only 1 1/2 hours away, but it took 3 1/2 due to concert traffic.
I can honestly say that I didn't get anxious or angry sitting in the car for so long.
Baby step, I know, but am happy!

Thank you for all of your support! I'm on week 2 and I think that knowing I'm not alone, breathing exercises, and relaxation cd are a big help. I'm hoping that is why I didn't wig out in the car. I really love this program. I know I'll keep going back to it for a long time after I've finished.
Thanks again.

One thing that helps me in traffic is to repeat what Lucinda says, to say to yourself...
Lines, traffic, crowds and waiting, doesn't bother me. I don't mind spending time being patient, There really is no emergency.
This even helped my husband who had a problem with waiting in these situations, but didn't really have other symptoms of anxiety.
