Hi everyone,

Well I finally did it. I quit the Xanax XR 3 days ago and lived to tell! I'm a little tired here and there, a little lightheaded/dizzy here and there but I am floating with it and I'm not afraid. No palpitations, no chest tightness, no fear. Listening to the relaxation tape every night right before bed, it really helps! Not sleeping as well as I could be, but I know it will come. Be patient!

Gave up the Cymbalta 2 weeks ago now. So proud of myself. I will be starting week 7. Why did it take me 4 years to figure this out?

Great Deb!!! I got the course in a "nic of time". Was worrying myself sick and ended up in the ER twice! One of my "obsessive" thoughts was...I'm going to have to start taking heart meds because I'm going to have a heart attack. The course has been a life send I'm sure. My BP has gone down, and NOW I realize what was causing it to stay so high! Great on your success. Hope everyone else on the course just keeps on keeping on! Success is out there.
Chat a little later down the line. Let's hear from you at the completion of session 16.

cotton,

good for you! I can relate to the ER trips! can't believe the difference when you are not afraid anymore. my bp would go up as well. I'm a nurse and it would scare the you know what out of me. I'm in week 7 now and I'm am always so excited to find out what's next!
