I am having contually obsessive thoughts about my wife in a previous relationship. Its driving me crazy. Cant get away from the thouhts. Is this anxiety,something else bothering me ,whatAnyone know how to handle this,

Sorry you're struggling racer. Is there anything in your relationship making you feel insecure right now that could be triggeing these thoughts? Maybe tell her the truth that you're obsessing about it and don't know why. They say "the truth will set you free." Then on the tapes they say to just tell ourselves, "thoughts, just thoughts." Just got done answering another post where someone was obsessing about music. All these obsessive thoughts drive us nuts but eventually they DO go away. Why or where they come from...who knows???

Could be some sort of OCD which isn't that bad cuz you could put a name to now? Just knowing that helped me a little.

I had obsessive thoughts also in a couple of realtionships. It was my own lack of self-esteem, insecurity causing them. One of the obsessions was a trigger for this second depression I have had for so long. Don't know if that is what you are experiencing. But, low self-esteem can make us feel "not good enough" and cause us to be very jealous.
