Hi All-

I've been working by myself on the 2nd Session. I've gone through the workbook and doing journal writing here and there. I've not done the daily Relaxation CD, but I've been working on my own breathing and relaxation.

My question is, should I move on? I wanted to continue and get on with the program. I'm actually also reading "From Panic to Power" by Lucinda - so I think I'm getting double the message. What's your thoughts? -J

Hi, I am on session 3 and use the relaxation tapes everyday 3 times a day. They are wonderful and the journeling is a great way to express yourself i've never did it before this program but i like it. I am someone that does things by the book but that works for me. They tell us to use the program as they instruct us to so thats what I do. To me that is the best way to see growth and inprovement. I hope this helps. Debbie D

Thanks for the reply, Debbie. I guess we are all looking at this from different points of view. Well, of course we are ;-)

I grew up with journaling and mental relaxation being taught to me. So, I guess I feel I've got them down. But you are right, we are supposed to follow the program to a "tee". I keep seeing people on here who have done the program before and are doing it again because they didn't follow it as closely before. Maybe that's a clue, hmm?

Thanks again. -J

Just a second POV for you. I am on to Session 13 next week. I do intend to do the program again when I finish. Not because I haven't understood it, or because I have skipped anything. Actually, I am going to do it a second time because I have benefitted from it so much. I began this program so far buried in what would be classified as serious clinical depression that a friend of mine who is a doctor was skeptical. Today I cannot even imagine the suffering and anguish I felt a few months ago. So, some of us will repeat the program because it is so helpful. I don't want to ever backslide, and I want to reinforce everything I have actually learned here.
As for journaling, you really do need to do this. Some of your future sessions will send you back to your journals, and your answers will be there -- in your journals. You are going to see a lot of growth.
Stay with it. Happy you are here.
