Hello my name is alanna. I am fairly new to this. I am a nurse. I have not had panic attacks in several years. The other day I had my first HIV patient. I had a small cut on my finger where I had been bitting my nails. I wore double gloves. I only put medications through his saline lock. i dont think I got any kind of body fluid on my gloves. I was fine at work, but ever since then I have a decreased appetite. I worry I over looked something. I cant sleep...I am having panic attacks several times a day. I hardly ever seem to be calm. I am driving my husband crazy. He dose not know what I have to worry about. Does anyone have a experience like mine? Will you keep me in your prayers?

Alanna,
It sounds like you are affraid of HIV. who would not be?
rememer your training. You know what you are doing, and it is only FEAR that has got you. You know your job and you do it well.
Practice all the program has to teach. it will help.
God bless you for what you do!
Hang in there and continue, your not alone
