I am a chronic picker...have been since I was little. I pick at my scalp and I also squeeze the crap outta my face. So dont feel alone, Britt. It does relax me. I am trying to stop this behavior though because I am starting to get little scars on my face and I dont really like the way it looks.
Sometimes I even pick at my toenails to the point where I will rip them off. I know, gross.

boy do I feel welcome here. Hello fellow pickers , pullers and scratchers. I started pulling my hair when I was 12 years old. To the point that I had a huge bald spot on the top of my head. Oh, good ol high school with all the torment and pressure, it made me quit pulling my hair out, so then I developed a liking to drinking. Well, now sober for 6-7 years and still pulling my hair a little, I try to twirl instead of pull- I have a full head of hair, but I think from either all that pulling or all the stress, I got quit a few gray hairs now and I'm 32. Decided not to color anymore and try to embrace them as the bible says that they are a sign of knowledge. ;-)But there are days when I have to pull them suckers out! I sometimes also pick at my skin- but not a whole lot with my kids around. Don't want them to do it. It was nice to know that there are others out there like me!
