Ladies... I need HELP... I think I may be going thru {whisper} {menopause}. I had a partial hysterectomy when I was in my late 20's. By partial I mean they left part of one ovary. So I went thru what I thought was menopause then. The Dr's gave me shots of what I was told was estrogen and pills with big fancy names. I was a kid and computers were for the "Prefessionals" then not for us. So back then you trusted your Doctors and did what the said and took what they gave you. Well, that Doctor is no longer in practice, wasn't when I was in my 30's and the Doctor I stated going to then asked why I was getting the shots, said they were for...stopping bleeding. Well, I don't think I was doing that for a while.
So to make a looonnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggg storey short. I noticed after about two weeks of crying jags, temper flare ups, and feeling like some lit a mtch in my chest. Something was wrong. Oh, one of the flare ups was with my current doctors receptionist and one was with my pharmacist about copays. does any of this sound familiar ladys.... or am I just going off the deep end at the double nickle. I know I make a joke of it.. I have to, other wise I will start crying again. Seriously though... I do want some input here... from the ladies, and if any of you gents have experienced this from your wives please do tell. I asked my mom, like good girls do, but my mom is 76 and didn't give much input. I live in a small town of 450 people where I just moved eith my fiance 3 years ago, if anyone has been following my soap opera knows of me..lol I STILL know not many poeple...BUT FINALLY LANDED THE PROMOTION I WANTED...YEA!!!!! ;)

Jenny, I may be asking a question you answered somewhere else. Have you seen an OBGYN who specializes in treating menopausal women? If I were you, I'd find one, and I'd especially want a female OBGYN who perhaps had already been there, done that, with the menopause issue. You are not that far from some of the best women's specialty treatment centers in this country.
As for your promotion, Hooray!
Best to you.

No, I have not gone yet. But, of all people, MY FIANCEE suggested I make an appointment and his daughter suggested I go to the Women's Wellness Center at the local hospital. Now am I getting into a great famimily or what! Thanks for the reply and suggestion though. I was going to go to my regular Doctor, but he's a man.
