Faith that overcomes

Just wanted to share some scriptures the Lord put on my heart while I was praying this morning. Hope they will bless and encourage all. He reminded me of the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5. There was a great crowd that was following Him and pressed Him from all sides and I'm sure many of the people touching Him had needs, but the Word records one woman who touched Him with an expectation in her heart. She had endured much suffering under the hands of many physicians and had spent all that she had, and was no better but instead grew worse.(I don't know about you, but I can identify with her) She had heard the reports concerning Jesus,(faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of Christ), and she came up behind Him in the throng and touched His garment. For she kept saying, If I only touch His garments, I shall be restored. And immediately her flow of blood was dried up at the source, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her distressing ailment. And Jesus, recognizing in Himself that the power proceeding from Him had gone forth, turned around immediately in the crowd and said, Who touched My clothes? And the disciples kept saying to Him, You see the crowd pressing hard around You from all sides, and You ask, Who touched Me? Still He kept looking around to see her who had done it. But the woman, knowing what had been done for her, fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. And He said to her, DAUGHTER, YOUR FAITH HAS MADE YOU WHOLE. Isn't that amazing that all those people were touching Him but because that woman had an expectation in her heart, she drew out of Jesus what she needed. He also reminded me of the disciples in Mark 4. In verse 35 Jesus said to them, Let us go over to the other side of the lake. v. 37 And a furious storm of wind of hurricane proportions arose, and the waves kept beating into the boat, so that it was already becoming filled. But He was in the stern asleep on the cushion; and they awoke Him and said to Him, Master, do You not care that we are perishing? Ever felt like He is asleep in your boat and that He doesn't care about what you are going through? I know I have. But He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Be still! And the wind ceased and there was a great calm, a perfect peacefulness. He said to them, Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith? Before they ever got into the boat He said, Let us go over to the other side. His Word will not return void or fall to the ground. As believers, He has set our feet on a course and we have a destination-we are going over to the other side! But sometimes storms arise and we fear that we are going to perish. But rest assured that He is in our boat and He will get us to the other side, even though we experience some furious storms. He that hath begun a good work in you will continue until the Day of Jesus Christ, devolping that good work, perfecting, and bringing it to completion in you. He started this work in us and He will complete it! May God bless you all and strengthen your hearts in the faith! Love in Him, Tammy
Dear Tammy,
This is one of my favorites...I was that woman one day who needed to touch the hem of His garment...
