Does anybody know this song? It goes like:

I say Yes Lord, Yes, Lord, Yes, Yes Lord!
Yes Lord, Yes Lord, Yes Yes Lord Amen.

The verses are something like: I'm trading my pain...I'm trading in my suffering...for you...

I can't remember, but it is STUCK in my head today!!!

I went to a PFWB church on Wednesday night to see my daughter's roommate sing and they sang this song. If anyone knows it I'd love to remember what the verses were!!

And FYI - it is IMPOSSIBLE to have a "down" day when that chorus is stuck in your head! :)

Blessings,
Dawn

Here you go ...

I'm trading my sorrows
I'm trading my shame
I'm laying them down
For the joy of the Lord

I'm trading my sickness
I'm trading my pain
I'm laying them down
For the joy of the Lord

We Say
Yes Lord yes Lord
Yes yes Lord
Yes Lord yes Lord
Yes yes Lord
Yes Lord yes Lord
Yes yes Lord Amen

I am pressed but not crushed
Persecuted not abandoned
Struck down but not destroyed
I am blessed beyond the curse
For his promise will endure
That his joy's gonna be my strength

Though the sorrow may last for the night
His joy comes with the morning

repeat chorus
"Afterall, everybody only hears what he understands." by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

THAT'S IT! :)

Thank you! Now at least when it is stuck in my head I can have the right words! :D

Instead of: I'm trading in my sorrows...hummmm, hummmmm, hummmm...something, something something, for the joy of the Lord!

LOL

Thanks for the help! :)

Blessings,
Dawn

I'm glad you received the words PrvMom. I get excited when the church I attend sing the song as well. Praise is such a power tool.
