I'm trying to stay grateful. It's so hard. I know that sounds bad but it's hard, life's hard! I hope I can remember this. Be grateful for what I have! I have sooo much. When I think back to when I was a teenager and what I went thru then...Oh my Gosh!
I have so much to be thankful for now. God has answered alot of my prayers. When your in deep depression it's hard to remember what God has given you. I just hope I don't forget. If I do forget I pray that God will remind me of what he has given me.
It's not always about what you have on the outside. If you have peace...true peace from God then I believe everything else is just a stepping stone.
I pray that when a bad time hits. God will remind me once again of what I do have!
"Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world".

A biblical prescription for depression:
Psalm 143:3-10

David's response to his feelings of depression and gloom was not to meditate on his problem. Instead, he literally came against the problem by choosing to remember the good times of past days. Pondering the doings of God and the works of His hands. (Psalm 143:5) In other words he thought about something good, and it helped him overcome his battle of depression.

I got this out of The Everyday Life Bible featuring notes and commentary by Joyce Meyer. I hope this helps you as much as it helps me in my time of doom and gloom. ;)

Thanks Robin, You know it still amazes me when I do the neg. to pos. dialogue. I guess it's because you get those thoughts out of your head and on to paper. I wonder why that works? Just the simple act of getting a pen and writing. Thanks for encouraging me....it really does help :)

Sister creepy...thank you for that scripture. I'm going to look that up in my Bible this morning. Sometimes it's hard for me to find a place to start(reading my Bible) so that helps alot.
Take care and God Bless :)
