Need prayers
Just reading to check in and see how you are doing Christine. I am still thinking of you and praying all will be well. Waiting is definitely the worst part. One time when I was waiting for test results, i felt fine when the tests were taken but over the course of the waiting period, I developed every symptom you can imagine and thought I was dying. When I finally got the results and everything was fine, I suddenly felt normal again.
I just wish doctors understood what it is to go through all of this.
I will check tomorrow to see if you've posted. Hopefully, you will have some good news.

First....
PRAISE GOD the bleeding has stopped!!!!
Next...
The pap test oh my! All the results are not in. It is a two part test and they only had one part. The first part is normal!! Praise God again.
One week of waiting down and two and a half to go.
It's funny how God sends us people in my life. I have been working with this woman for about 5 years now. Wednesday when I was at work she mentioned (I was talking to her about being a herbal doctor and how she started) and she mentioned she started after her cancer. I said oh. She said she had shrunk her tumor. I said if you don't mind me asking when type of cancer and she said I have/had something called PCOS (that's what I have) and she said she had gone for a pap and they saw a tumor on her cervix. She was treated and is fine. I told her I have PCOS and I just had a biopsy. How weird is that? I never even knew that.
Thank you so much for thinking of me. It gives me so much hope and comfort knowing you are all rooting for me and praying for me.

Hi, Christine--first and foremost, add me to your list of people praying for you.
Now...I hope you realize that your doctors are not treating you the way they should be. Your test results are exactly that--YOURS. You have the right to them whenever you ask. I have an OB who is a "no news is good news" doc, and when I first started there his RN actually told me once when I called for some test results that I needed to "get over" my anxieties because they did not have time to call every person with a normal test, if it is abnormal they will call. Well, I calmly, and assertively, explained to her that while I understand that they do not normally call with normal results, if I call and ask for my own test results I expect they will be given to me, and in a professional and empathetic manner. And now---every PAP, blood test, etc., I call in and get the results and she is sweet as pie about it!!!
BTW--PAPs are done in 2 parts, and typically (I am not a doctor), a normal PAP will take up to 2 weeks to come back, as there is no urgency. When it is abnormal, you usually get a call within 3 days of the test, those are the ones they rush. Also, cervical cancer is a very slow developing disease, takes years to develop, and if you have routine PAPs that are normal, I would not give that thought too much worry.
I have a serious phobia about cancer, and get EVERYTHING checked out as a result. Luckily my pcp understands and always examines me and treats me as important no matter how little my symptom is. This is the type of doctor you need and deserve. No doctor should EVER put blame on you, directly or indirectly, for anything. That is unacceptable.
And finally--why does a biopsy take 3 weeks to come back??? I'd ensure that is correct, but again, when they do not rush the results to you that is because they are considered "non-urgent". Not to us, but to the docs.
Keep us posted, and don't worry!!! Tara

Hi Christine,
Oh, That is such GOOD NEWS about your pap test! How wonderful. And the rest of the news will be good, too. ALL WILL BE WELLL.
I agree with Bttrfly 1000%. I would say the same thing myself, except that she expresses it so much better! Absolutely right! The tests are YOURS. YOU are in-control---not a helpless victim. Do not allow the doctors to initimdate you. It is YOUR body, and you are well on your way to becoing quite a formidable woman!
ALL WILL BE WELL. Believe it. Trust it. Hope it.
Hanging in there with you and all of your other supporters,
Cynthia
