I did review and that is why I responded.......To many beliefs each one has their own GOD....In a Christian Belief we know our GOD's name.....and we pray in the name of Jesus and ask in his name as the Bible states to do so. The Sunday night prayer group as clearly stated does not do that nor support that. But Thank you Carolyn for your attention on this......Several of us are working together unfortunately outside of the center to create a Christian Prayer Group with wisdom and tools from this program.

Blessings Always

The purpose of the structure of our prayer group is to be as inclusive as possible. I have always believed that the best way to show people the light of God is to treat them with love, tolerance and compassion, just as He would. And that includes being loving and tolerant of those whose beliefs may differ from my own.

We do indeed praise and glorify God each week for our successes, pray to Him for strength and ask Him for guidance in our recovery. That is our main focus. We pray to only one God.

It appears that our attempt to be as loving and inclusive as possible has led to a misunderstanding of our group. I invite anyone who is curious to check us out any Sunday night.

God bless,
CC

Nice Post C.C.

Here's the question....I know which God I serve as a Christian and he has many names and all named in the bible of course.....Can you name the God you are in reference to in regards to your Post so that way I know whether or not to partake in the Sunday prayer group.......As Beleiver stated many beliefs do have their own God's and their Gods have names......I need to know which God you are identifying this prayer group seeing that you lead it, because I will not pray to no other God other than Jehovah himself in Jesus name as well.

I am surprised and fascinated that I am being ask to justify my faith, but I will happily oblige. As I said, I pray to only one God, because there is only one God in my opinion.

To ask me, "Which God are you referring to?" seems like a funny question, but for clarification I refer to the same God you do - the one in the Bible.

As I mentioned before, we have people who join us for prayers of the Christian faith, Jewish faith and others struggling to find faith. That is why we pray only to God and make all attempts to be as loving, cooperative and accomodating as possible. Thank you all and I'll look forward to seeing you on Sunday nights.

God bless,
CC

When this group was started, we intended it to be for everyone. We wanted it to be a comforting, loving and safe place for ALL of us to come together and pray.

I, personally, believe that God is a God of LOVE, COMPASSION, COMFORT, FORGIVENESS and INCLUSION. My God loves all of His children completely and equally, just as they are.

There is no need for this bickering...this kind of talk takes the focus away from our true purpose - All of God's children, coming together in LOVE.

And once again, I would like to thank you CC, my friend, for being such a great leader.

Thank you C.C. I needed to know that I was praying in agreement with one that believes in the same God El Shadai himself. I'm not asking anyone to justify any faith nor is any bickering being done here. That is why I asked you C.C. being the lead of this prayer group to which God this group's intentions are to be prayed to. I understand many others may be believing in someone else but that is why...."I am asking the head and not the tail"....I'm sure you know that scripture C.C.

Blessings To You Always and I know heaven smiles upon you. Thank you for the understanding.

Thank you Sanmannn for getting that clarification for me......and thank you C.C. for the answer.

Kath there are many religions here and many honor different God's. As for myself I like to know what God is being prayed to. There is nothing wrong with that.

Thank You Jehovah Jireh for providing wisdom and clarity here.
