Hi, Thanks for bumping this. What ever happened to Mom of 6? :? This was posted around the time I made my long distant move, not that I get around to seeing everything all the time anyway. :) Anyway, I thought that I would share somthing that I was reading that seems to go along with this post.

It is a law of nature that our thoughts and feelings are encouraged and strengthened as we give them utterance. While words express thoughts, it is also true that thoughts follow words. If we would give more expression to our faith, rejoice more in the blessings that we know we have,--the great mercy and love of God,--we should have more faith and greater joy. No tongue can express, no finite mind can conceive, the blessing that results from appreciating the goodness and love of God. Even on earth we may have joy as a wellspring, never failing, because fed by the streams that flow from the throne of God.

Then let us educate our hearts and lips to speak the praise of God for His matchless love. Let us educate our souls to be hopeful and to abide in the light shining from the cross of Calvary. Never should we forget that we are children of the heavenly King, sons and daughters of the Lord of hosts. It is our privilege to maintain a calm repose in God.

"Let the peace of God rule in your hearts; . . . and be ye thankful." Colossians 3:15. Forgetting our own difficulties and troubles, let us praise God for an opportunity to live for the glory of His name. Let the fresh blessings of each new day awaken praise in our hearts for these tokens of His loving care. When you open your eyes in the morning, thank God that He has kept you through the night. Thank Him for His peace in your heart. Morning, noon, and night, let gratitude as a sweet perfume ascend to heaven.

When someone asks how you are feeling, do not try to think of something mournful to tell in order to gain sympathy. Do not talk of your lack of faith and your sorrows and sufferings. The tempter delights to hear such words. When talking on gloomy subjects, you are glorifying him. We are not to dwell on the great power of Satan to overcome us. Often we give ourselves into his hands by talking of his power. Let us talk instead of the great power of God to bind up all our interests with His own. Tell of the matchless power of Christ, and speak of His glory. All heaven is interested in our salvation. The angels of God, thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand, are commissioned to minister to those who shall be heirs of salvation. They guard us against evil and press back the powers of darkness that are seeking our destruction. Have we not reason to be thankful every moment, thankful even when there are apparent difficulties in our pathway?

Let praise and thanksgiving be expressed in song. When tempted, instead of giving utterance to our feelings, let us by faith lift up a song of thanksgiving to God.

We praise Thee, O God, for the Son of Thy love,-
For Jesus who died and is now gone above.

We praise Thee, O God, for Thy Spirit of light,
Who has shown us our Saviour, and scattered our night.

All glory and praise to the Lamb that was slain,
Who has borne all our sins, and has cleansed every stain.

All glory and praise to the God of all grace,
Who has bought us, and sought us, and guided our ways.

Revive us again; fill each heart with Thy love;
May each soul be rekindled with fire from above.

Chorus:
Hallelujah! Thine the glory, Hallelujah! amen;
Hallelujah! Thine the glory, Revive us again.

For those who might not recognize this song without the music or singing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=treyei-EhhA (Please note that only three of the five verses are sung.)

Song is a weapon that we can always use against discouragement. As we thus open the heart to the sunlight of the Saviour’s presence, we shall have health and His blessing.
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."--2 Cor 5:17

Hi! I'm new. I have been dealing with some panic attacks here and there almost my whole life but just recently it was like I came to a breaking point! I had a panic attack that never went away! It didn't stop and I couldn't do anything to reach relief. I am a Christian and beleiver in the Holy Spirit, raised in the church, sing and play guitar for the praise team. Sometimes I feel like a failure, but then I really think the Lord is wanting to teach me something in this. I've been into the King's chambers and I have entered His courts with Praise, I guess dealing with this "fear" is something I need to relinquish. It's just that my attacks have become so much more physical that it scares me even more. I used to just hypervenhilate while in the car but lately it has become weird tension and pressure to my head that seems to move around, and then, of course, that scares me cause I feel like something in my head is going to pop! I don't know if this is where I'm suppose to share this stuff but I just called to order the program and was glad to see that their was a Christian forum. I just want to feel normal again!!!

Hi Charity, :) :) :)
You posted this "exactly" where it is supposed to be posted in the "Spirituality" section of this forum!!!

I have heard of soooo many others who are suffering from anxiety, which have these "head pressure" symptoms!!!

My brother even has these symptoms, from time to time!!! I think they are due to stress, and of course, stress leads to anxiety!!!

I am sure it is "safe" to say, that we are all thankful that you are here with us :) :) :)

I am sure that once you do the program, (plus) "added bonus of your faith in Christ Jesus, then you will "succeed" in "overcoming" these things!!!

Thank you soooo much for your input!!! I pray that God blesses you with a beautiful day filled with much sunshine, joy and laughter...Love, Cloie

Wow! Thank you so much! It's gives me some reassurance just knowing that you have heard of these pressures, and thank you for your words of encouragment...that always helps. Just ordered the program today so I'm just Counting On God. I was started on Paxil this week. 10mg and the doc is already wanting to up my dose in a week but I don't want to have to do that...I'm gonna get passed this!!!!

It's nice to finally have a place to share and know that I am not alone in this!

Thanks again!!

Charity

Good morning Charity,

Here's a short daily devotional that is loaded with wisdom and helpful to get you through your day to day walk with the Lord:

http://promises.blueletterbible.org/index.cfm?doy=65
Today's Promise from the Bible
2 Corinthians 1:3-5

Blessed [be] God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

Reflection

My Prayer: Lord, thank You for being my comfort during my afflictions! Help me to give others the love and comfort You have given me.
An appropriate poem by John Wesley:
Happy soul that free from harms
Rests within his Shepherd's arms!
Who his quiet shall molest?
Who shall violate his rest?
Jesus doth his spirit bear,
Jesus takes his every care;
He who found the wandering sheep,
Jesus still delights to keep.

O that I might so believe,
Steadfastly to Jesus cleave,
On his only love rely,
Smile at the destroyer nigh;
Free from sin and servile fear,
Have my Jesus ever near,
All his care rejoice to prove,
All his paradise of love!

Jesus, seek thy wandering sheep,
Bring me back, and lead, and keep;
Take on thee my every care,
Bear me, on thy bosom bear:
Let me know my Shepherd's voice,
More and more in thee rejoice,
More and more of thee receive,
Ever in thy Spirit live:

Live, till all thy life I know,
Perfect through my Lord below,
Gladly then from earth remove,
Gathered to the fold above.

O that I at last may stand
With the sheep at thy right hand,
Take the crown so freely given,
Enter in by thee to heaven!

John Wesley
All for His praise, glory and the joy it gives Him.

Hugs, In His Love >:D<
