Hi Christine,
You didn't mention your age but everyone in my family goes through this in their 40s. My mom ended up having a hysterectomy when she couldn't quit bleeding. My younger sister just went through this a few years ago and I have been dealing with it now. I also have a close friend going through the same thing.

I guess I am in full blown menopause now since I started skipping periods and then having never ending periods. Now I haven't had any bleeding for about 4 months. So I don't think that I will need a hysterectomy. Just seems to be something we go through. My older sister and niece also have PCOS and I have a fibroid tumor on my uterus. I have always had difficult periods so I am just relieved that those days seem to be behind me.
Don't think the worst. You will probably be fine.

Hi,
I meant to say this before. I will also pray for you. I didn't mention it in my previous post but i was diagnosed with breast cancer 9 yrs ago and do know what you are going through. The anxiety is intense. But more than likely you don't have cancer.

Anyway, like I said, I will pray that God will give you peace because even if you don't have cancer, just the fear of it is a terrible thing to go through.

Your doctor has the bedside manner of a snapping turtle! Unbelievable! You did not bring this on yourself. I will pray for you to be at peace while you wait for the answer. Peace be with you!

I am 35 years old. I am the only one in the family with PCOS. Both my sisters and mother don't have it.

I am on my way out now for a Sugar test. I can't stand the way I feel after I drink that sugar stuff. Pray I don't panic!

Have a good day.

How are you doing, Christine? By now perhaps your glucose test is over, and I truly hope that all went well. Yuck! Your reaction to the sugary stuff is perfectly normal, and even to be expected. Keep the faith! There are lots of compassionate people here who care very much and are willing to stand by you throughout this. Don't forget: "PEACE I leave with you. My PEACE I give unto you." Try to relax as much as possible today and know that you are in the hands of a loving, caring God. ALL WILL BE WELL.

Hi Christine,
Just checkin in on how your sugar test went and to let you know I am thinking of you and praying for you. After you are home try to drink alot of water it will desolve the sugar effect a bit faster sweetie. I hope you are ok and the test went well. At least it is over and I am praying you get the other test results soon. If you need me you know where to find me honey. Take care and keep your chin up.
Love you

The sugar test went well. I was just fine no funny feelings or nothing! YEAH!! I had a real good day. Till......

I can't my GP's office because she did a pap test Jan 8th. I asked the secratary if everything was ok. She told me she did not know how to read the results but she would fax them to the doctors other office tomorrow to get her to read them fast. Why couldn't it wait till my next appointment? Now I am imagining cancer going from my uterus down into my cervix :( I am now a mess again! I have to call the office tomorrow afternoon.

Thank you so much for the support. Sorry for the whine.

Christine, It's another test for you. You get to practice the skills of the program once again. Relax. Go listen to your tapes again. The anxiety will pass. Everything will be fine. We all get this way and just need encouragement sometimes.

CONGRATS on getting through the sugar test so relaxed-ly! Way to go!

One thing which is super-hard for anyone to do, but especially for those with our personality traits, is to WAIT. And while we wait, unfortunately, one of our other traits tends to kick-in, and that is our wonderfully vivid imagination. Rather than worry yourself (in all probablity, needlessly)that the doctor's office is making haste to call because the news is going to be "BAD," why not conclude with what is most likely the reality of the situation? I would bet that the secretary certainly read your apprehension and great concern, and that she is doing her best so that you can have the results of the test as SOON as possible, so that you need not fret and stew any longer. I would absoutely bet that this is the reasaon---that she is trying to be very helpful. Waiting until tomorrow will be extremely difficult, we all undertstand, but do not make it any harder on yourself by fabricating "what if" scenarios. Use your tape. BE HERE, in the present. Do something which you really like to do this evening. ALL WILL BE WELL. Believe it, trust it, hope it.
Please keep us posted. We care.
