Cornflower, I also like Charles Stanley...I watch him from time to time on late night christian Television. He is very wise in the scriptures. He's a very gentle, humble and kind minister...soothing, if you will.

I'm going to look for that book ..I think I'd really like to read it..

Thankyou for your insight on this subject. I appreciate it!
Blessings~

Wow....I love all this insight on forgiveness, as well as, all of you!!!

I remember feeling very betrayed, hurt and angry at my ex-daughter in law!!! She had hurt me sooo badly that I just could not seem to get over it on my own!!!

You might say that I fully trusted her and she betrayed me big time, so, this is what I did and it sure did work for me!!!

I went to church and asked to be anointed by oil for a need!!! I did not tell anyone what that need was, since, God already knew that need!!!

God in Heaven knows that just as soon as everyone finished praying over me, that all of the hurt, pain, and anger had vanished forever!!!

I returned home from church and it was as though, nothing had ever transpired between her and me...God took care of it all during that anointing service!!!

Now, when I find I need extra help with forgiveness, then, I just turn to HIM, fully trusting that He will discard that "excess negative baggage" out of my life forever!!!

And He who is sooooo faithful always does!!! Amen and Amen!!!

Momof6, thanks again for beginning this thread...I truly have enjoyed reading each and every response!!!

I pray all of you have a great night's rest sheltered beneath the wings of the Almighty God!!!!

It's hard to ask forgiveness
When we've blown it again.
We feel like such a stick in the mud,
it doesn't seem possible to change.

We're like a broken record,
Will someone take us seriously?
Can I, will I ever change?

But, all wonderings put aside,
I go to my offended
And ask, Will you forgive me
For treating you so insensitively?

It is nice to see there is a group of christians to converse with. I read your comments and I want to add Colossians 3:13-15
"Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, cloth yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And letthe peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts"

I'm so glad to be with other Christians on here. Cornflower, I do appreciate Charles Stanley.
