I get the results of my biopsy tomorrow morning
Hi Christine,
I am so glad to learn that your tests have shown only a PRE-cancerous condition. Think of that, Christine: PRE-cancerous. That means that the cancer is not yet there! NONE! People have pre-canceorus conditions for so many things, the vast majority of which turn out to be JUST FINE! Hundreds of thousands of people must have pre-cancerous moles and growths removed from their bodies every day!
It might be a good idea to get a second opinion, only because it can be reassuring.
I plead with you to please, please, please stay of the sites dealing with your condition! Yes, I know it is good to be well-informed, but I truly think that it does nothing but scare one and it is my opinion that many of the sites accentuate the negative possibilities way beyond the norm! For your own peace of mind, please don't go there!
Let your body do its work! They are pretty amazing! Go through those three cycles with faith and hope, and let's see if your body won't shed those pre-cancerous cells. Concentrate on relaxing, resting well, eating well, and enjoying your family---comforting, good, hopeful things! Not scary statistics and surgeries which need not apply to you!
Can you live in fiath and hjope for three months? YOU BET YOU CAN!
Please keep us informed.

Thank you so much! I know God works things for a reason. I went today to my Mom's doctors appointment with her for her uterine prolapes. She is having everything removed. She asked her doctor about me (I was in the room with her) He asked me a couple of questions and he said I need to take care of this as soon as I can. My uterus needs to come out because I have atypia cells. This is just before cancer and he says he thinks I should get the results from my doctor and come see him. He said we have to fix this right away. I don't know what way the Lord wants me to go. He brought me there.... I am so confused!
Hi Christine,
Gosh! Of course, you have to follow your own best instincts and do what you feel is right for YOU, but I have to say most honestly that I would be very cautious about a doctor who is threatening to remove my uterus and scaring me half to death BEFORE he has ever even done an examination or seen my records! I find it interesting that your mother is "having everything removed" for her uterine prolapse. It sounds to me like you are right in the middle of two doctors with opposing philosophies: the conservative "what and see" variety and the aggressive "yank it all out now" type. I only wish I could tell you what to do. But I worry about a doctor who only asks a few questions and then tells me that we must "fix this right away" by ripping out my uterus.
This is tough. You say you are confused, and boy, I can see why. If I were to seek a second opinion, I believe that I would eliminate this doctor.
I will pray for you, that you may be guided.

Christine,
You results said "precancerous". And yes i think every woman should get a second opinion!
It doesnt hurt a thing and it helps put your mind at ease... Im glad you are being an advocate to your own health care.. Dont freak out, you dont have cancer, but you definitely need a second opinion, then if the second doctor comes to the same conclusion, you can decide on treatment then! STOP googling!! Nelly:)

you are right. I do have a bad case of googlitis! I got a copy of my results today. I have complex hyperplasia in the uterus lining. No atypia. So that is really good. Complex might cause a problem but we have to try and treat it.
All for His praise, glory and the joy it gives Him.

Christine,
Reading your messages made me so sad. I hate when people are afraid and they have serious things going on in their lives that are causing you to worry about things. I will be praying for you! The Lord will send you to a doctor that will help you and I pray that you will have wisdom and strength through this hard time. My sister in law is pregnant and has cervical cancer I am not sure what they are going to do exactually but I think she said that when she has the baby they are going to cut out the cancer and then they are going to freeze the rest. She doesn't really seem really scared at all but she isn't but five months along so she still has awhile to go. I can't directly relate to what you are going through but there are others out there that are going through the same thing. Trust in the Lord to give you stength and to help you through this sergery and you will be just fine. I know that it is really scary but I am sure that you will be able to make it through this. Be very glad that you caught it when you did! God was watching out for you when you caught it in time. Now the next step is you going through with the surgery and then you can start to live life again. I will be praying for you and I will get my prayer group to pray for you as well. God Bless and keep faith!

In complex hyperplasia without atypia, the individual cells may be enlarged, but, as in simple hyperplasia, the internal makeup of the cells is considered to be normal. However, the cells have proliferated to the point where the normal structure of the endometrium is interfered with. Glands crowd each other, and under a microscope the architecture is jumbled and less regular. Other descriptors in this general category are adenomatous, moderate, or glandular hyperplasia. (Side note: I found references to “glandular” hyperplasia along with cystic or mild hyperplasia as well.)
If atypia is NOT present, these two types of hyperplasia, taken together, have been found to have a 1-4% chance of becoming endometrial cancer. Now, whenever you see a statistic like this, you should then ask, “what are the chances of getting endometrial cancer in any case? What are the chances of any random woman getting endometrial cancer?” The answer to that question is “about 3%”. Therefore, these types of hyperplasia are now NOT generally considered to be precancerous. Most of the time, they respond to progestin therapy, which causes the endometrium (and the problem) to be sloughed off as it would be during a normal period. It turns out that Jana, one of the friends I talked about at the beginning of the article, is in this group. Additionally, she is in perimenopause, which means that there is a very good chance that menopause will solve the problem altogether.
What does it mean when atypical cells are present? Atypia means that the cells themselves have become abnormal. This is a similar case to cervical dysplasia. Although these cells are not cancerous, there is an increased probability that they will become so. We can think of them of "going towards" cancer, but not yet "arrived".
I got this off the internet and thought that you would want to read some one it.I hope it keeps you from worring so bad! I will be praying for you! God bless!
